You do one thin coat over your stuff or fabric or whatever. Then you pour epoxy over top of everything. On my bar cart I did one thin coat then added the stars. Then the tick stuff on top. If I was doing fabric I would seal the wood with one coat of paint. Adhere fabric to the wood. Do one thin coat of epoxy and then do the pour over. You can use a heat gun to make bubbles disappear. Wood must be totally level of course. I'll see if I can grab you a link that I followed

I just want to share these photos of a table leg and trim done by a local friend on his trailer. The leg is three pieces of chrome tube with a ring around it. I think he cannibalized an old table for some of the parts, and the top is actually a piece of floor trim/edging that he overlapped on top of some plain stainless metal. I think it turned out really cool and retro. Much nicer than some of the original legs these tables came with.

ladywendolyn did you ever try this process? If so do you happen to have pictures? And lastly, if you did do you think it would work with vinyl? Thank you so much msgoehring for sending this link, it gives me hope! Yes I did a bar cart in turquoise as an experiment.

Very nice camper. Some people keep the gas light and refit it with an LCD bulb and switch. You still have the vintage style without the gas.

Picked up a new toilet for my trailer at an end of summer sale. Looks vintage and has a China bowl. Note the "replaces old RV toilets" sign on the box. My husband is truly fascinated by what thrills me these days! Lol

After much, much research on porch lights, including several that I bought and then felt they were too much like house lights . I ended up with a 1950's glass and chrome interior headliner light from a Nash Rambler. It has the shape I like, doesn't throw too much light, and goes with the starburst theme throughout the trailer. I may have a metal eyebrow made for it that diffuses it downward, but I also have a light up handle so it is more for having a dim light for if we pull in at night etc. Here are a couple of photos.

After weeks of scraping off tar, I discovered today during the removal of my roof vent that there is a two inch tear in the skin next to the vent opening. This may explain all the use of roofing tar by the PO. The tear is a deal breaker for me because even if I can fix it I am guaranteed to spend the rest of my life obsessing over it and wondering if the repair is holding. There are a few other roof issues I don't like. One is the fact that the skin is cut too short in some spots. The other is that I have no way of knowing if there are hidden holes or gouges that I can't see. So I am going to bite the bullet and order a new roof. Can someone please explain to me exactly how to measure? I am not sure how to account for the bumps in the pattern. It appears there may be a little wiggle room on top of the front and rear window as the "break" where it joins is about an inch above the window edge, I assume to allow some adjustment. (See last photo) As well, how do I know how thick the aluminum is?

DUH, I knew you lived in Canada, don't know why that didn't click with my brain about the duty and taxes. GAH, I'm really out of it this week. I think I'm going to check out what they would charge for my three panels and three burner grates. Thanks for the referral and $15 is a lot less than I thought it would be. Here is a photo of mine that they did... Although the photo doesn't do them justice. They are brighter red than they look there. A true fire engine red.
