I have used the epoxy on a coffee table that I did a mosaic with broken stoneware plates. It works really well. But it will scratch. The stuff I used can be sanded and recoated. I bought it at Lowe's. I have found some counter top paint that I'm going to try. The reviews on it are 50/50. Seems to work best if coated with polyurethane. But it's cheap and I have nothing to lose since I will eventually replace mine. The colors are limited and they mix it at the paint department. www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-1-qt-Countertop-Tintbase-Kit-246068/202820906

Ah, LadyW the ARTISTE! Well done. We used resin from Michaels to repair our Corvette table. Badly warped and came out pretty fine:

It looks great Vikx... I think that necessity is the mother of invention when you are doing a trailer.

Vikx - that gives me hope for mine! I was going to be looking for a Formica table if I needed to for the top! I've seen so many where the legs are so badly damaged the only thing maybe worth saving is the top. But, if I can't find one, I know I can try your trick! Thanks for posting! Any suggestions on worn out countertops that are still in good shape? The color has just faded to something strange, I'm sure due to age and whatever the PO's used to clean with.

If the color is gone, it's not going to come back. If there are a few marks, such as burns, scruffs, etc, you can touch them up with hobby paint before the resin. There are a few options with resins, do some research and find out which work as a thin coat, etc.
We did two layers of mixed resin/catalyst and stopped. It took several days to cure (probably too thick) but turned out very good. If bubbles form, a propane torch levels them. We ended up with a few flaws and not an entirely level table, but sometimes it's best to quit while you're ahead. LOL
Also, some people really like a dull finish on old Formica. There may be an option of painting with either matte or gloss clear coat. Worth a try...

You can also take down the shine with ultra fine steel wool.... I've been told that, but I will experiment before doing it on the finnished counter

It's Linen Formica pattern. I think it was Tan. I know Formica has reintroduced a couple of the linen colors. I don't even know why tan was the countertop color. The traditional grey Formica was the table and the floors were grey too. They seats were a ghastly yellow. This trailer was definitely designed for a man. No offense to the men in this group! You all have much better taste!!!

I have some very 60's upholstery fabric that I think I might try this technique with. I have most of a professional bolt 25+ yards? so I have some to "burn" if the experiment does not go accordingly to plan.

You may be able to do this project without removing them, just remove the front trim. BUT you need to get the trailer PERFECTLY LEVEL, if you do that or the resin won't set level.
