1957 Shasta 1500 Project for the year 2020

Wouldn't it be neat if you could keep it that low? I saw one with hydrolic lifts on it that would sit right down on the ground when he stopped. The car would do the same thing. Pretty cool.

I moved to a new house and was able to pull the camper into the garage with the wheels on. Didn't work on it most of the spring and summer because I was working on all the new house stuff.

This fall everything happened fast and I happened to get the camper done but didn't even take pictures. I gave it to my son so he and his family can camp.

All I really had left to do was:
1. install the 7 pin tail light wire harness
2. install the water pump and attach all the pex
3. run the wires to the battery
4. install the gas line to the tank
5. install the formica
6. put in the pipe from the sink to outside


Now my son can finish the last couple items:
1. put false bottoms in the upper cabinets
2. put a bed in the back
3. decide if he wants the bunk installed
4. decide if he wants a grey water tank installed (got the tank already)
5. strap the microwave down


This was a long project with many starts and stops. I think I will take a break for a year or two. I have a deck to build next year as well as a small storage shed, and a full basement that needs to be completed. I also need to find my next project and I would really like to do a Shasta Compact first generation and these are hard to find. What I would do with it once I am done I have no idea but it is something I always wanted to do.
