What’s mail? Is that the stuff they put in a box? I was going to make a joke about Fotomat booths but you’re too young to know what I’m talking about. We’re really messing up the thread.

I was going to make a joke about Fotomat booths but you’re too young to know what I’m talking about. We’re really messing up the thread. So this is how I do it now. I take the photo with my Iphone Send the photo in over the internet to get it printed Wait for the mail to deliver it Then I scan the photo in with my scanner Then upload the photo to my google photos Then download it from google photos to flickr and then email myself the link THen copy the email link out of my email and place it in a post. Then I take my laptop to the Fotomat drive up and have them print in glossy. I may look young with my grey hair but I do remember things like crank phones, party lines, an outhouse and playing outside being told to be home by dark. I wish I could go back sometimes and the only way someone could talk to you was to come find you.

It has been a while since last posted. Been busy putting the other campers put away for the winter and get the house ready for winter. Since I don't have 2 cars in the garage this year I am going to keep my project in the garage and work on it this winter.
I really need to get it done and out the door by April so I have to get motivated.
Tonight I started looking at the 12v wiring again and trying to figure out what I did. Took me a good hour to figure it out but I now know how I wired it again.
I guess I just didn't keep notes.
I also hooked up the 12v wires to the Refrigerator and tested it. I also started cleaning up the wiring inside the camper and stapling it to the walls. It is a real pain under the cabinet.
See if I can't get the 12 volt done in the next couple of days and then move on to the 120v.
I also need to finish putting the curbside tin on and then bending over the roof.
Then get the tail lights wired and the tin on for that. Just lots of things to do but I just need to keep at it every day.

It’s funny how we have to keep re-learning things we did really well a few years ago. I had one of those “holy cow there are a lot of projects to be done on this camper” moments yesterday. So I understand completely.

Been in the garage a bit more this week. Got the tail light wiring run and the rear skin on the back and realized I was missing a board at the bottom to screw it into. Can you believe I didn't have a board big enough and had to go buy one so that slowed me down a bit. So the next day I worked on polishing the window frames and making sure the frames fit in the openings.

Got most of the 12v fixtures done and working. Also been working on buffing windows, hardware and just about everything else that is dirty, rusty, or just needs tlc. This is really slow work so I try and do something like the wiring so I feel like I got something done.
Earlier this week I got the fridge hooked to gas and ran the gas line to the the stove. I was also able to then mount the fridge vents and button that area up.

Too cold in my barn to work. I wish I had a heated garage.

Too cold in my barn to work. I wish I had a heated garage. Get you one of those propane patio heaters and use it where you’re working. i like it a little cool. I seem to get more done. I have a small heater in my garage but not a lot of heat.

It has been a while since I posted last. Since it was below zero for so long and other things going on I just haven't gotten out in the garage much.
Here is what I have been doing: Finished buffing the hinges, door handles and cabinet locks Installed cabinet doors Installed drawers and handles Buffed all the inside window trims Finished running all 110 volt wiring and fuse box Started buffing outside windows
What I am finding works best when wanting to buff the aluminum windows and inside trim pieces is to take some steel wool and scrub all the grime and build up off the surfaces first. It seems like there is shellac on the inside trims, hinges and cabinet door locks and the steel wool will get this off along with other crud. Outside there is lots of oxidation and road grime that needs to be removed first and then the buffing goes much faster. I just wish it didn't take so much hand and elbow strength to do the steel wool. I may experiment with some fine sandpaper and electric sander.
If anyone has any other tricks please share?

I haven't posted in a while, I have got the following items done
Installed all the window frame, out frames are out for glass to be cut Installed the front tin so the stabilizer and table supports had to be installed Found that the camper is now a square so of course the metal doesn't fit as well anymore so I have to bend some angle aluminum around the lower corners front and back to make up for the gap that would left with the old trim.
Took the door and cargo doors apart and built new wood frames and wood skins for them, hope to have the rest of the doors and cargo back together in the next day or two
Built new door frames for the wardrobe, this was a new experience for me since I built them different last time but now that I have a dado blade I can do them like they did at the factory, waiting for the other door to dry first so I have some clamps again to glue the skin on the wardrobe frames.
I have to get this camper out of the garage in the next 30 days. Time is ticking.
