So, underneath the fold of the roof skin that folds over the side skin, ours has old putty. It does not seem necessary to put it there but yet there it is.
So I have two questions I guess. 1. Is really necessary underneath the fold. 2. since we are only opening the front and back up and not the middle, removing the potty in the middle is not being done. Should we putty just to keep consistent? Ohhhhh what to do?!

I watched Larry's video where he staples the frame pieces together with little cutouts of aluminum. I really like this but in many areas I just don't have the room to do this from the outside. Do you think I can do this from the inside area and not have the thickness of the aluminum sheet interfere with how the birch paneling goes together?

And another huge THANK YOU to Schweetcruisers for taking the time out of his weekend to meet me at a lumberyard and show me what I needed to get, and answer my stupid questions. I have to say, not everyone will take the time anymore to help people out, and it is nice to meet someone who will. Thank you sir!

So in addition to all the demo work, we have had some time to do some other things in the garage, especially when it is raining. One thing is to rework the old rear window which was in horrible shape, plexiglass , painted chrome silver paint, shrinking seal etc. Again, thanks to Larry's video.....
Before:
Glass Installed, ready to put back together as soon as I figure out how to work this rivet gun and get right size rivets...

1997 GMC Yukon. Original blue, I went black and removed all logos. Lousy pic from the front, but I wanted to show where I am squeezing my darn trailer!

Demolition time. Started tearing at the back panels to see what's what....and found about what is to be expected I think. I would not have the guts to do all of this without Larry's videos and my wife doing it all with me. See pics:

Very curious how this brake caliper paint would hold up.

Wasn't too sure where to post this, thought I would just keep it under my build thread here. Just wanted to shout out a big THANK YOU to two members here.
Coloradoan - for graciously taking the time out of her day to drop off some soundboard for my flooring to me. She had some extra and was nice enough to give this to me. Very nice lady and just speaks volumes about this community.
Second is to Schweetcruisers...He and his wife stopped by to look at my trailer and offer a bit of wisdom, thoughts and insight into my pending restoration. Now I do think he also was laughing inside quite abit, he was very nice not to do so out loud!
Anyway, thanks, and it does help with the motivation! Now, I have to upload some new pics to show current status....

How do you do this? With what? The hole from my heater will be filled in with some new soundboard and plywood, how do I seal the seams as well as the other seams from soundboard joining together underneath?
