Vintage 50's trailer...Out of the 10 frame welds from vertical to horizontal beams, one weld broke loose. Tow it or not? Hello, So, what did you do? Don't leave us hanging. Thanks, Rod LOL. I had a buddy come over and weld it for me real quick like. I grinded all metal surfaces clean and he knows what he is doing, but it was spittin like crazy and has to be the ugliest weld I have ever seen. But done a couple trips since then, including one where I hit a sudden drop off pretty fast and hard, and it seems fine. But now, it's time to sell her.

I really like the old original backed up to the new retro Shasta. Interesting photo. V Yeah V, it was interesting. The comparison back to back and next to each other walking in and out, really made you appreciate the old world way of doing things. The new one....IDK, it left a lot to be desired. Just a thanks to you for all you and Larry do for this site, and all the others. We would not have been able to do it without you. We made plenty of mistakes along the way, wasted all sorts of $$$, but I know my family is safe at least. You do a great job here, and you probably have no idea how many peoples lives you touch in such an odd way! Kudos!

WOW. Thanks for all the photos! I love the look of the trailer both with and without the wings, honestly. Wings are super cool but I love the streamline look with 'em. Nice color choice too and I'm stoked you guys have so much fun with it!! Thanks! It has been a lot of fun, and we love the wings. Thanks to Tyler Bessette for those, he rocks! The color choice is kind of funny...we got hit by hail so we really did not spend as much as initially planned on paint. We rattle canned her! Turned out really well except for a few small drips!

Funny - I guess I don't, at least nothing recent. But I promise to take some and post. Honestly, these things are not the best for 4 people and a dog! Gets pretty beat up pretty quickly, but she definitely gets used...6-7 trips a year.

Anyone going to this? This weekend, June 10-12. We will be there, lived in CO nearly my whole life and never been to the Royal Gorge so should be fun. www.starliteclassiccampground.com/events.htmlSpeaking of CO events, anyone know if there was a Home on La Grange this year in Boulder?

Last year we camped all summer without water in the camper. The P-Trap was rusted out and I never got around to ordering the water tank. Now I need to get it done quickly before summer time and I am behind the ol' 8 ball. Seems as if my local shop that I was counting on for doing this bit of work will not install the water tank so close to the electrical, so it's on me. So I have some questions, and I am confused. First, in my 59 Shasta, should I be concerned about the water tank and the electrical being together underneath the seat? Second, the original hand pump and copper line are intact. If I am only using the water for washing dishes and hands, not drinking, is this safe to use the old lines? Third, I am still unclear... from the above post I just hook up my 12v pump into the hand pump and use a backflow valve in between? Fourth, do I use 3/8 line? Recommendations? Fifth, When I order my tank, Do I need to know anything specific about the fittings? Just 3/8"? What about the water coming in from the outside and the large gravity feed like this? www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Gravity-Water-Fill-p/vts-2208.htmAny suggestions or answers greatly appreciated!?
