Any suggestions on how to seal up the underneath? The seams between the soundboards, and this new seam created by the hole in the floor? Noonan? McFly?

What everyone up there said. Plus... Make sure your painter knows how to prep aluminum for paint. This guy started out at $100 per foot when I first met him and that included the total length of the trailer from tongue to bumper. It included body work as long as it wasn't ridiculous. Anything other than small dings I replace instead of having my painter mess with it. Now after 3 years he is up about 35%. He took on a shop that he has to pay for and that had the most to do with the price increase but I can trust his job to last and he backs up his work 100%. He's here in Riverside County, Ca. down the road from me so he's close by and that's very convenient. He uses single stage auto paint. The paint runs about $800 with the hardener and what ever else goes with it for an average job on a 15 footer. So Mobiltech....What color of blue/auqa is that exactly? And regarding prepping aluminum, my painter told me $300 for self etching primer alone....is that right?

I did purchase a 4x8 sheet of sound board to fill the hole left by my floor furnace removal. You're welcome to it and I could even deliver it when I come to Denver to pick up my roof! AWESOME! Thanks in advance, PM me and we can get a time/date set up? Soon I hope...?

So I removed the floor heater and am left with a large gaping hole! I am sure I can add some framing 2x4 beneath to give me something to hold onto, and some plywood cut to fit and screwed in. I would hate to have to buy a 4x8 sheet of sound board to try to match everything up...and then with the gap/seams around the edges wondering what to seal it all up with? And really, all the seams underneath of the soundboard look like they should be sealed up again.
Fence post paint? POR15? Some sort of tape? I am not doing a frame off resto by any means, so just want to slather the whole underbelly with something...undercoating? Rhinoliner? anyone got a great idea or gone down this road?

In my mind, I picture it filled with brightly colored silk fabrics and big comfy pillows! True gypsy style! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Like the inside of the I Dream of Jeannie bottle!

Looking good! What did you use to strip the paint and polish? I wish there was someone that I could send my old seat covers to and have nice new ones made from the old patterns... Hint Hint... Those look perfect! With some help from Citristrip from Home Depot - $20 per 1/2 gallon, I think we used 6 of them. Side yard of my suburban house, with sheets of painter plastic on the ground all around for cleanup. Took awhile! About 4 half day sessions over two weekends. Probable lead paint. I hear the self etching primer for aluminum is expensive....wondering how much I really need to get off as there are still some flakes and spots of residue etc. Need to research. Paint will be tough to decide how much to invest. The skin is pretty beat up, so an expensive job is probably a waste, but I don't want a 20 footer either. We'll see. I have a painter friend, if he helps I should be able to do it for under a grand.... One set of cushions is probably enough for my wife, but I will ask! Still I think she may be kind enough to write down some tips. Then again there is a lady here who owns or owned an upholstery shop, I know she knows this stuff inside and out!

So m wife just did cushions this weekend. Vinyl, fairly thick, the kind that apparently wants to take over the machines direction. Anyway, the smallest piping stuff she could find still seemed too thick, so she ended up using twine as her piping material. Just a thought!

Certain things we will do, some we won't/ But one thing my wife loves to tackle is sewing projects. Her tenacity and perseverance shows off, as this is her first attempt at a seat cushion....

Since this photo is gone, can someone please advise on which/what Kreg tool to purchase? Thanks, not too sure, seem to be many options.
