Certain things we will do, some we won't/ But one thing my wife loves to tackle is sewing projects. Her tenacity and perseverance shows off, as this is her first attempt at a seat cushion....

Looking good! What did you use to strip the paint and polish?
I wish there was someone that I could send my old seat covers to and have nice new ones made from the old patterns... Hint Hint... Those look perfect!

Those look perfect! With some help from Citristrip from Home Depot - $20 per 1/2 gallon, I think we used 6 of them. Side yard of my suburban house, with sheets of painter plastic on the ground all around for cleanup. Took awhile! About 4 half day sessions over two weekends. Probable lead paint. I hear the self etching primer for aluminum is expensive....wondering how much I really need to get off as there are still some flakes and spots of residue etc. Need to research. Paint will be tough to decide how much to invest. The skin is pretty beat up, so an expensive job is probably a waste, but I don't want a 20 footer either. We'll see. I have a painter friend, if he helps I should be able to do it for under a grand.... One set of cushions is probably enough for my wife, but I will ask! Still I think she may be kind enough to write down some tips. Then again there is a lady here who owns or owned an upholstery shop, I know she knows this stuff inside and out!

Here in CA. the paint alone is $900.... Including hardener...

Wasn't too sure where to post this, thought I would just keep it under my build thread here. Just wanted to shout out a big THANK YOU to two members here.
Coloradoan - for graciously taking the time out of her day to drop off some soundboard for my flooring to me. She had some extra and was nice enough to give this to me. Very nice lady and just speaks volumes about this community.
Second is to Schweetcruisers...He and his wife stopped by to look at my trailer and offer a bit of wisdom, thoughts and insight into my pending restoration. Now I do think he also was laughing inside quite abit, he was very nice not to do so out loud!
Anyway, thanks, and it does help with the motivation! Now, I have to upload some new pics to show current status....

Demolition time. Started tearing at the back panels to see what's what....and found about what is to be expected I think. I would not have the guts to do all of this without Larry's videos and my wife doing it all with me. See pics:

So in addition to all the demo work, we have had some time to do some other things in the garage, especially when it is raining. One thing is to rework the old rear window which was in horrible shape, plexiglass , painted chrome silver paint, shrinking seal etc. Again, thanks to Larry's video.....

Glass Installed, ready to put back together as soon as I figure out how to work this rivet gun and get right size rivets...

And another huge THANK YOU to Schweetcruisers for taking the time out of his weekend to meet me at a lumberyard and show me what I needed to get, and answer my stupid questions. I have to say, not everyone will take the time anymore to help people out, and it is nice to meet someone who will. Thank you sir!

Funny - I guess I don't, at least nothing recent. But I promise to take some and post. Honestly, these things are not the best for 4 people and a dog! Gets pretty beat up pretty quickly, but she definitely gets used...6-7 trips a year.

WOW. Thanks for all the photos! I love the look of the trailer both with and without the wings, honestly. Wings are super cool but I love the streamline look with 'em. Nice color choice too and I'm stoked you guys have so much fun with it!!
