Our '59 Shasta has a floor heater. Haven't hooked it up yet to try it out, but wondering if these were common, popular? Haven't seen one or anyone talking about them. Do they work well? OUCH to step on? Any common replacements of a newer vintage anyone has done?

So as we begin working on our '59 I am budgeting a few items that are nice to have, not necessarily need to have.
#1 is a refrigerator to replace the icebox. Obviously many choices here, and also wondering pros and cons of the differen methods for power...12v, 110v and propane etc.
#2 is how much does it cost to recolor the Princess oven/stove?
No exact #'s needed, just trying to get a rough idea to plan the fiscal resources....

I also am restoring a 59 Shasta and have these exact same floor tiles. Unfortunately the floor was in really good shape until I scrubbed it and waxed it. For some reason it caused the tiles to start peeling up ( So - I have a bunch of these available to anyone who needs them. By bunch I mean 15 or so that are completely intact. Hey coloradoan...where are you? Denver? Restoring 59 as well here in CO.

Well I am surprised the pic didn't show up on the avatar....And I have no pics hosted anywhere to link to. This forum apparently does not allows pics just uploaded from my desktop...But as far as more info, here goes:
White with red bottom latex house paint paint job. Yuck. Horrible. They painted the stainless chrome for **** sake. Seems to tow fine. Picked her up in CO Springs and I live up in a Denver suburb. Supposedly was owned by a lady in Grand Junction CO for 15 years, then sold to a couple in CO springs with 4 kids that definitely didn't have the time for it.
Bronze color stove/oven. Ice box. no potty. cushions old and tired, need reupholstered etc. the big seats are almost like car seats with springs so will have to get them professionally done. Interior has plenty of wood water damage. No clue on the rot yet and almost don't want to know. At this point I just want to make it safe and clean. But then I saw the "Worst Experience Ever" thread here. Figure I am going to have to take a closer look. Problem is I don't have a garage big enough and to do it on the side of my house runs the wrath of my HOA. They are pretty lax, but still could be an issue.....
If members here want to recommend resources for birch, upholstery or anything in the Denver area, please do.
