Making some progress on the Scotty. I do have a question for other Scotty owners..... Does the height of the closet/bathroom cabinet match the wall height? All my measerments show the cabinet 1/2" taller than the side wall. It's not making sense to me. Any help/suggestions would be great! Here are pictures of the lower curb side cabinet.

I was just going to use 1" x 4" yellow pine unless someone tells me different. I was also thinking of painting the ends and any supports framing the windows or vent with asphalt post hole paint from Tractor Supply to maybe protect the wood in case of a water leak in the future

I am currently doing a frame off re-build of a 1975 Scotty Serro. I am planning on replacing the side walls with 3/4" birch plywood (to replace the 70's panneling). I will have to route out the bottoms and around the wheel wells to 1/2" as to not change the diminsions so the metal fits back in place. I just think that the 1/2" is too weak.

I think this one is going to fall into my lap. My wife was talking to a co-worker who baught a trailer from a junker last week and he had this trailer as well. (It has too many good parts not to buy it.) I really don't need another trailer project, but I hate to see it go to the scrap metal shop. He wants less than $200 for it, so I guess I will try to buy it cheaper and either flip it or salvage the good parts. I guess my wife is starting to catch the bug.

Thanks for the reply's. Bigbill, all good points. Ross, very nice work. I am leaning towards the 6,000 btu. Now to decide to mount it high, or low....... it will be across from the stove. So either above or below the refridgerator.

I have a 1975 15' Scotty Serro and am wanting to put in a window air conditioner unit, built into the cabinets. I was thinking a 6,000 btu, but not sure....... The 5,000 btu has a smaller footprint, but may not be able to keep up due to the fact that Scotty's have plywood side walls. I am open to any thoughts or personel experiences. Thanks!

I saw this sitting in a field and thought it had an interesting look. I have not close enough to look inside yet. Let me know if you have any ideas as to what it is. Thanks!
