I couldn't find the stuff, but I did a search and found that it is called Fabric cloth tape for blinds, or Cloth ladder tape. Fixmyblinds.com was one of the sites I found. Just do a google search to research the best price. Good Luck!

It's been a few years since I've done it, but they used to (and maybe still do) make the material in a pre-maid form that holds the blinds. It came in a roll and we would just cut off the length that was need. It was actually very easy once you did one. You just have to mirror each side so they work correctly. I'll look and see if I can find the roll and put a pic up to see if we are talking about the same thing.

I'm not sure what happened to my Photobucket account, but it has totally locked me out. (hmmmm) Anyhow, I've decided to open a Flickr account to continue forward....... CorvettCrzy, The bed will be just shy of a full size bed (don't remember the measurements) The Scotty is considered a 15' trailer. Here are some pictures of the shower/toilet, I still need to do some finish work. Not sure you found your answer yet.....In Kansas, the highway patrol said I didn't need a title or tag because it was under 2,000 lbs. The county office says I do need a title, but not a tag. The State office says I need both title and tag. Long story short, my Scotty is a complete rebuild frame off. So, they tell me worst case is I title it as a "home build Scotty Serro", but will have to pay taxes as if it is brand new based on the rebuild expense. Good Luck!

Here is a picture of the spline bit I used as well as a photo of the groove it creates with the spline (tongue)inserted. I hope this helps what I've described.

I used birch 3/4" plywood. The Scotty originally had 1/2" ply, so I had to rout out the area that attaches to the floor deck sides to make it 1/2" with the remainder sitting on top of the floor (if that makes since). So, the attached picture shows the black area is the routed out area that attaches to the side of the floor deck. To attach the plywood together, I routed the edges to receive a spline (think tongue and groove). I then used three 1" x 2" the full length of the walls to keep them all together. The Scotty's use the cabinets to hold up the walls. I found it easier to build the floor deck (with 3/4" tongue and groove plywood), then tile the floor, then place the cabinets, then add the walls....with the help of 2 other people. The walls screw into the floor deck sides and cabinet. With the routed out area, it gave a small ledge to sit on top of the floor so we knew everything was in place. Not sure that is the correct way, but that's how I did it.

I have to say that I took my ideas from others on here as well as other sites. I just tweaked it to fit my needs and the look I want

Mobiltec, you are correct..... It only took me a 12 pack of beer and countless hours of thinking to get this accomplished.

larryb, on my Scotty, I used tongue and groove plywood on the floor. Coating the bottom side with Fence Post paint from Tractor Supply. The side walls, I used a spline bit on my router, making a groove on both pieces of plywood. Then I cut a spline(tongue)to fit the whole length of the plywood. Gluing it all together. My Scotty had 1/2" side walls. I decided to go with 3/4". Therefore I had to route out the difference where the walls meet the floor, as well as the wheel wells so the width of the trailer didn't get too wide to re-use the old metal.

Bev, this is the best picture I have right now that shows the slats don't over hang the supports. They sit on a support that butt's up to the opposite support, if that makes since.....
