Do your homework!!!! If it has wood framing, then you will need cabinets, etc. because that is what holds up the walls. If it is metal framing then you can get away with no cabinets. Trailers are built from the inside out. The floor, walls and ceiling, all overlap creating the shear strength (side to side). Example: The ceiling is falling in. To replace it, you will have to remove the metal roof, the curbing and joists in order to replace the interior panel. Mobeltec has excellent videos showing the process

Awesome find. If I ever do another trailer, it will be similar size and shape (Spartan is my dream trailer). I say go for it. You may never get your money back out of it, but you will have the coolest trailer in the park!

Welcome from a fellow Kansan. I think you have a nice project. Just follow Mobiltec and Vixk's advice and everything will be fine. I am curious about the Kansas antique title process. Let me know how that plays out for you.

Odd man out......... I'm on year 5 going on 6. Frame off rebuild. I've been in the home stretch for the last couple years and life has taken over. Just an example of keep plugging along and it will happen. I have enjoyed every step of the way!

I basically tried that method and had OK results. I'm using the old siding and put new aluminum on the front, back and roof. It's a long process and I found that the old metal reacted differently in different locations..... Here are few pics. Ladywendolyn, I am in the same predicament. I accidentally sold my house (Long story) which had a 30' x 40' shop. Although I am a few steps ahead of you, I still had to move my trailer across town to a single car garage to finish it up. This has been a 4, going on 5, year complete rebuild. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just need to install windows and doors, but will have to move it outside due to no room to walk around it. Keep up the good work. Mobiltec, I used a lot of staples as well into all new wood (frame off rebuild). For a test, I took a scrap piece of aluminum and the wood I used for the rebuild. I then stapled it all together and then tried to pull it apart. I didn't have much luck. I had to use a small screwdriver to lift up the staple to get it out and even then it was a chore. I guess I got lucky with the box I grabbed. It almost appeared that the staples had glue on them.

Good to know. I will give a little tug to see how they hold. I know my shop has exceeded 100 plus degrees this summer and I have not noticed any staples pulling out due to metal expansion. But, it's not in direct sun light.....I don't know if that makes any difference.

Corvettcrzy, I purchased my aluminum from a local horse trailer company. Before I found the local place, I was looking at a truck repair place called Jim Hawk Truck Trailers (that is a chain)that carries the .040 aluminum. I believe it comes 103" wide by whatever length you need. The cost was around $13 a running foot. Mobiltec, Here are the staples I used. I know they are not chisel tooth, but they seemed to work with very little trouble. IMG_20180805_073607900 by KamHawk, on Flickr
