Took the weekend off and was busy Monday night but last night I got the following done.
Removed inside window frames Light fixtures Removed front and back window wood framing Took out stove Removed roof and rolled it up and put it in a safe spot Took street side tin off Removed insulation on wall Put frame on dollies Started backing screws out on cabinets secret is to take a pliers from back side of screw and twist them in and it will make getting screws easier to take out inside the cabinets Took lots of pictures and measurements
My template walls are really bad on the ends, I will need to use the tin to get the right curves.

I wasn't able to get to the camper yesterday. For some reason other things come up and I am expected to do those as well. OK, OK it wasn't my wife, it was my Mom so of course being a mama's boy I drop everything and do what she wants. So today I got a few things done: - Removed the curb side tin - removed the gas lamp - Removed the shelf over the table - Cut the insulation out of the curbside wall And of course took pictures so I can hopefully put it back together. 20200515_201143 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

The front looks rough but more of the framing survived than I expected.
It's on rollers? I plan to do the same thing and take over the garage next winter but it will be tight.
Thanks for the photos.

Great, "the hard work is done" True, and the floor is in excellent shape and can be reused without much work. Maybe a little spray foam? (I just wanted to post a comment as if I was on the Facebook Vintage Camper group instead of this forum. It felt good!)

I did start to write a comment earlier today that said, All the hard work is done, it is now a blank canvas for you to do what you want. Come and take it home and have a little slice of the 50s camping experience, and this can be yours for $3500. But I deleted it. But here is what I got done today: 20200517_164541 by Tom Ress, on Flickr Thought I would start with the picture. I think it says it all. If you want to see more images of the process go to the 57 link in my signature.

Today, I got the trailer axle, and tires back on so I can take it to the sandblaster. I also cleaned up the garage and got it organized so I can continue to work on items like the replacement walls and other things. I guess I need to get birch ordered. 20200518_192843 by Tom Ress, on Flickr I am also debating on putting new leaf springs on, I am concerned about metal fatigue once I get this camper back together but I guess I can do this anytime.

Do you get your frame sandblasted at an autobody shop or someplace else? How much will it cost?

I got the sandblasting done by a guy whos main job is I think Farming but also does this and basic painting of frames. Last frame sandblasting and painting with grey paint was $300.

I bought a bunch of wood today to keep the build going. I also got a call that I can pick up the frame tomorrow.
