We had a blast at the Hiawassii GA. this past weekend. Saw a ton of trailers and some really rare ones too. But that's all another thread and link I guess. We had about 40 trailers and a 115 people I think.. Good times. But here is our girl grabbin some shade! The weather was Purrfect. 81 in the day and a fresh 64 at night..

I hate that you are not going to make it down NCCamper.. That paint job and your post about it are the BOMB! I do hope to meet you on the trail some time. It would be good for us to try for a North Carolina Rally mid state perhaps. And now we are three days out and this adventure has taking on a new life of it's own. There are going to be a ton of Trailers boys and girls and a wide variety of styles and years. The weather looks perfect.(No AC Reqrd..lol) A few of the people from the Tybee Island gig are making it in as well and there were quite a few classics I look forward to seeing again. I do trust to see more than a few of you there.. Peace and safe travels!

Tell your Husband to bend over and tie his shoes... You atta be able to store and window frame or two up there! Or is it in there? That's really to bad and I hate it for you. That's the only one like that I've seen and I have seen more than a few. But good luck on all of you endeavors "Platinum Orange". Pehaps you'll come across another one.

An old thread, but excellent info. Mobiltec started one on the same topic. Here are my questions: Which birch would you pick, natural birch or Baltic birch? Which grade do you look for...G1S? A4? Or doesn't it matter? Made in USA is ideal, but what are the odds of finding it? Or would you buy any 1/8" birch panel and be thankful? I may be driving South at the end of the month and I'm told that 1/8" birch can be found in TX & AR. If they don't carry birch, how about Maple or Oak? Which is a closer match? Hey man, SZQ posted this a while back. It's a lot closer to you and I. It's in Greenville, SC. I fellow could do it in a day but it would be a long one. I'm thnking if I get that Zipper I might need to stop by there on the way back from Hiawassii Ga. It would really load me down though. They have a good PDF file.. Check'em out www.hooddistribution.com/locations/downloads/Hood_McE_catalog.pdf

Bummer Ten! She looks so good, you have really done a fine job on the restoration. I am sure that you'll get to the top of these leaks and get them fixed. It just another opportunity to learn something and share it with the crew. I don't like holes in the roof.. I know that they are necessary for all of the what nots and the roof vents let out the heat but I don't like'em..

My hinge was not in super bad shape, but the bottom was rusted out and gone. If you get into these hinges they are not really that bad to work with. I scraped an old one and salvaged some sections. I was able to address my problems with good results. You can piece them at any location.. you just gotta thread it out, match it up and shoot the rivets back.. I helped a freind of mine fix one at center mast but I dont have any pics. His was much worse. Of course I dont know how trashed yours is. These snap shots were my fix on mine.

Yeah thats what we did.. $60.00 and free shipping.. www.ebay.com/itm/Aleko-Awning-Fabric-Replacement- We got a 10x12 and cut it down to 10x10. It already has an adequate sleeve for my coax line, which is what we run through the trailer rail. We did not add the scalloped edge to it. Ours being a later model, its not much of a show pony, we decided to leave that part off. I like the nice fancy ones though. We might add the edge later because we have the extra material. I'm still using old steel poles and string from a 84' "Blue Kmart Camping Canopy" Remember those? Plus Our "Grape" party lights show better on the exposed edge. This stuff is really workable. A heavy Denim needle and will punch this stuff 4 fold with a decent machine. I reinforced the grommet area with some medium plastics cut from a office binder cover.. This is the color "Sand", It matched or Restoleum Almond perfect. It's working well. This pic was from our Newbern NC. Gathering.. Nice grounds

Good looking light, I did not know they made a led bulb that could be "dimmed" as of yet.

I have a friend that always says "nothing cleans a place up like a fresh coat of something".(no wise cracks please) And these freinds have had quite a few successful B&B's and a sexy sloop or two on their résumé. She's right, be it paint, shellac or whatever, it makes it look finished.

Got ya... I am looking at the pictures that you posted and I am at a loss. The extruded "Frame" in which the cam cranks and all of that stuff attaches is a continuous unit. The sides bolt/screw to the top and bottom and the screen guide is there and developed when the 4 pcs are assembled. I think that your frame might be a replacement one. If you can give the me the opening size I will check my pile of windows. I have the screen type too. What is the cut opening in your trailer wall, height and width.. We've got these here.. someone here is going to have them. I like bulding them to (lol) you can shine'em up like a new penny..

Hey there.. When you state "Inside Frame" are you speaking of the light gage stuff being a inside frame.. it has 4 pcs of it? The top, bottom and left and right side? I have some from a 1400, it easy to make them shorter. And welcome to the forum!
