Your link worked LV.. Wow, you have a find! Lots of work but it looks like it's all there.. We can't find nothing in NC. Well, I do know where there is a 1500 out in the bush but it's really rough, and it's been gutted.

Lol.. at the angle it would. It wont bend it at the point no way. I think that it will help keep the coupler from driving into the pavement too.. off course that might not be a good thing.. You can check it out down at the Hiawassee.

I am on the same page as Bigbill. Tensile strength on a bolt can vary greatly. Now a Clevis (w/Shank bolt) could be a lot heavier grade, drilled and anchored to the frame. But you want the pull to be centered to the tow rig if the ball and coupler ever fail you. I took the fast way and it's not the prettiest but it will keep her anchored to the rig. I bought it at Northern tool over in the trailer section. It's a "TOW SAFETY CHAIN" bagged with hardware. I went around my hitch post and under the ball hitch. The two chains are connected together with a link bolt as they past under the hitch. I marked up your pic abit to try and explain it, and for others who might be in the same perdicament... I trust that was OK..

I think that's it to long for a Compact. Looks like the dinnet is in front too. I think that it's a later 60 something. Nice looking camper. Your other pictures look like it had the Sea Green panneling as well. Galley is on the center wall?

Yeah I am with these guys.. go ahead and break down and get you a pancake compressor and hit Harbor Freight for the stapler. I got the $20 gun too and I use it for a little bit of everything, but it's a must for trailer repair and renovations. I want a big compressor but have not been able to find one thats in my price range. Good ones are expensive and are not that available 2nd hand.

FLipping axles is a tricky thing and not often advised. Its' center of gravity and travel form has been established with a reason.. "SO IT WILL PULL BETTER AND NOT FLIPS OVER". (Lol) The clearance issue can be addressed in other ways and there are some people in the know around here that can advise you on it. But any adjustment will most likely only give you a little bit more in clearence. It seem like they were all just made for paved RV parks. A rough dirt road could bottom out ours if I wasn't careful. Good for you getting the "goop" off. I can only imagine how much of a job that stuff is..

I think the current trailer count is 24. The campground would like all rally reservations to be made by May 31. They will open to the public after that. Hope y'all can come! Hey ya'll, I just called and left them a message... I'm wait'in for 'em to call me back. Looks like we'll be away from operation center but hopefully we get somewhere. We are in! A22.. If I remember correctly that spot kinda slants so I better bring extra donage! Someone from the crew has taken A21.. who got it? And she told me she had A23 still left. I don't know how many more she has paired up for our group so get busy and come on down, or up..

Wow.. I will say "at a glance" it is not listed at a bad price at all. All things considered. It would be nice to peep under her skirt or see the "restore" pics. But if I was shopping? I'd take a look at it this one for sure. If it was closer I'd turn a freind or two in that direction

Is there any chance that you can look at the tires on it and write down the size? It should be on the side of the tire. If it has no tires on it, if the wheels are gone as well.. I am sure that someone will chime in and give you some more info.. I surfed it and did not come up with anything either.. Welcome to the Forum..

Is that a GAS stove? IT looks like a Kerosene Stove.. The round port holes have a wick assembly for them, but then I look at what looks like the burner element with the holes in it? Is that part of the stove too? From the oven perhaps...You got me. I’ve' never seen a Kerosene one in a camper. Kerosene stove and oven where "in", back in the 20's and 30's.. the first people with power only had lights.. not stoves and heaters. Wow.. it's a find either way. I'm curious too..

Hi- I am looking for a few more of these curtain rod hangers, for my 1858 Terry Travel Trailer, any ideas? You can surf for them.. try Lowes or any DIY stores. I have found that these things did'nt change alot. The brass plate stuff gives way to rust on most of them. And Welcome to the forum!

Pathfinder.. you're so funny! Vikx had a really good suggestion. Just be honest and say it's too much of a risk to take a vintage trailer up that road. Better safe than sorry. Imagine the regret you'll feel if something happens to it. I know it was bad... but I could not resist. It is a beautiful camper he has there.. It's nice, simple and very squared away. I would use the "I'm sorry, even though it's been restored it really not that safe.." excuse... Or the rat thing, perhaps a gas leak.. or even better the breaker keeps flippin' I'm scared it'll catch fire.. Or like you said.. look at them and chuckle.. are you nuts? I'm not bringing that camper up that road! You can have the bunkhouse but not the rainbow.. they'd probably chuckle with him and say ok we understand..
