Today, waxed the new tile. Looks good when shiny. Put the goucho frame in. Still got some work to do with the top of it so I can put a queen length bed on it. I also put the bench bases in. 20180910_185152 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

Since my gaucho was configured to work for a full size bed length I needed to extend it from wall to wall. Need to get a new end board at the store so I hope tomorrow to make that board work and get a few coats of shellac on it.
I should be out buffing the hinges and handles. Maybe tomorrow.

Tonight I worked on the gaucho. Got a new support board build that sits at the front of the gaucho and is the board you pull on and gives support to the frame when it is pulled out. Had to get a couple coats of shellac on it and it will be tomorrow before I can most likely install it.

Last night it started to rain so couldn't do much with shellac. I did sand the railing board for the gaucho and got one coat on it. So I instead spent time buffing the hinges and handles. You can see some before and after images of what they looked like and after buffing. 20180917_175410 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

Today I continued to buff the hinges and handles. Then I remembered I have about 100 screw heads to buff, so I got those done as well. Now I need to find some of the other chrome pieces that need to be buffed.
I also got a couple more coats of shellac on the gaucho rail board.

You might consider something clear (nail polish?) in the buffed screw heads. Would keep them pretty...

Last night I worked on getting the rest of the cabinet doors on. I also got the gaucho rail put on so that is finished. Once I got that done I put a few coats of shellac on the wood fillers around the back window and cut the bottom back wall boards and got a couple coats of shellac on them. I hope to close in the back end in the next couple of days. I haven't been in my back yard for month so my wife made me leave the camper and mow the yard. Sometimes she can be so unreasonable . Need to get outside wiring done so I can insulate and get the metal and window back on so I can get the camper out of the garage for wife cars. Again she is being unreasonable.

Got some work done again last night. Couple more coats of shellac on the back wall boards, added some backer pieces to hold the panels on either side of the window, cut the holes for the fuse box and gas\carbon detector and secured the bench bottoms to the walls and floor. 20180925_191905 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

Had another good night of work. Got the back wall buttoned up and started to put some of the old stuff like the bed back in so I have a little more room in the garage. I also started figuring out my wiring. Where to put lights and switches. Drilled the holes for the recess lights under the cabinets and the shelf above the table. Winter is coming and I really need to get moving. Camper needs to be out of the garage soon. 20180927_194126 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

Did some work this weekend Got the 12 volt wiring run and started hooking up fixtures to the wiring. Here are some pictures wiring and a fixture before and after a bit of buffing. Spent a lot of time securing the wiring that this picture doesn't. 20180929_202724 by Tom Ress, on Flickr 20180930_110642 by Tom Ress, on Flickr 20180930_212440 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

Nothing better to motivate you then winter. I worked on 3 items last night. Buffed the bunk bed brackets Buffed the hanging bar that sits outside the wardrobe and gaucho Went to a co works house and he helped me cut a dozen 1/4 x 1 x 8' strips for the gaps out of solid ash. I did this last time with the birch camper I did and I thought they looked better then the plywood. Now I need to sand, round the corners and shellac them. 20181001_200536 by Tom Ress, on Flickr 20181001_174835 by Tom Ress, on Flickr You can see the old shellac. I love that they put the inside together and then just sprayed everything.

Isn't that funny? They did that in many of the trailers built at the time. Even the aluminum window trim got sprayed.

My 3 way switch came in last night so it was time to finish the lighting. Let there be light, and there was! I replaced the light under the front cabinet with recess led lights and also under the kitchen cabinets. All the lighting is 12 volt. 20181002_194526 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

Now that the 12 volt wiring is done, it is time to insulate. All the 110 volt work will be inside or the few items that need to come outside will be done when I put the skin on. 20181004_200810 by Tom Ress, on Flickr
