58 Shasta Restoration progress

Just to stay consistent I need to give an update. I went to the car show last night, say an old 54 Lincoln convertible that would perfect to pull the camper with other then that the car show has to many new cars in it. I mean stuff from 2000s. I guess I would rather have been working on the camper. But it was fun to talk with my friend.

I got home and my son was over so spent the rest of the night talking with him. I would rather be doing that then working on the camper.

I did get one thing done, I moved the painted floor board from outside to inside and placed in the spot is will be nailed down. We will see what happens tonight.

Another night and no progress. Sometimes other things come along and require your attention.

Got some work done last night. Got the curbside front corner taken apart and new one built. All in a couple hours. It helps to have practice on the other 3 corners first. I did cut my board backwards so I had to cut a new one. I can use that plywood for filler pieces around the windows, so not all is lost I hope. I also then took the front window frame off and hope tonight to start building a new one. I would like to close up the front end in the next couple days of work. But I think I will need to do some floor work first. I will have to do this when I can keep the garage door closed so I can jack the camper up and get underneath.

Well, no updates on the camper since I decided to go camping with the other one. Did run into 2 issues with the other camper.

1. At 4 in the morning the Gas Detector went off. I must have another slow leak. Need to track that down.
2. I can't seem to get the fridg igniter to work anymore. So I can't run on gas. Will have to track that down.

It runs off the 12v system and the fuse box was also plugged into 110. 

Got the front end all buttoned up last night. Now I need to work on the floor and then button up the back end. I also have lots of sanding to do before I start shellac. The biggest issue is working with 85 to 90 degree temp and feels like 90% humidity

Not only is a bad board the usual problem, but it's an easy fix that costs no more than a little solder. 99% of the time, the point on the circuit board where the power comes in is loose due to over heating and unsoldering itself. Check that and save yourself $150 for a new board.
