Thanks Susie... My eye was getting tired... Welcome but I didn't mean to "talk for you" One time I had throat surgery and couldn't speak. I stopped by the officel where I worked and wrote a note. The assistant principal yelled her reply to me as if I were deaf.

I'm getting really excited about a local shop that may be able do my skin! Crossing fingers and finding out tomorrow.

Vikx can follow up here but I can tell you that the two are very different. Just forget about silicone for anything at all having to do with trailer skin and seals. Silicone is not a substance that was developed for sealing purposes. It just kinda feels and looks like it might work so they sell it for EVERYTHING.... Don't believe what you see in Home Depot or Lowes or even Ace Hardware these days. It's not true. They sell it to you because you buy it. Because you think it's an easy fix. It's not meant for this purpose. Gutter "Seal" is a sealant. Silicone is not. Leave the silicone for breast implants. Couldn't have said it better myself. LOL! Silicone doesn't seal. It may for a month or two, but tends to discolor, then peel. Awful stuff and won't last. There are uses for silicone; it's great for holes in the bottom out of UV rays (like for gas lines, etc.) Also good to "pad" lines and wiring to prevent damage. Gutter Seal is paintable and stays flexible. It is NOT a cure all, but a preventative measure. It is also removable. I learned to like it because the grey looks like aluminum and then discovered how it well it worked for little seals here and there.

These guys here are so nice! I've got them working on small little projects for me first. I was very excited to see a full size pink fridge from the 50's in their offices. It was a cream puff and works like a charm. Anyhow, they're going to help me get my skin done. I'm going to see if they can fabricate some j rail too, as ours is really sad. falsoindustries.com

Kind of embarassed to say this but sometimes it pays to slap on some lipstick and take off the wedding band when negotiating LOL! I've got a few freebies so far. Tomorrow, I'm bringing them donuts.
I'm going to get the material at one place and bring it to them. They will break the pattern and do the seams.
You can get real high teck with the laser and all and have everything custom cut. I don't need that. My husband can do the cut-outs.
One thing I really want is a stainless door frame. There's a Scotty guy who makes them, in Penn. I'm working on prices to see what that will set me back.

....Yes....I baked Cinnamon Rolls and got a serious price break on some electrical work that was way beyond my abilities. This takes nothing away from the fact that these guys were kind hearted with a generous nature.....and probably would have helped me without the baked goods. Very appreciative!
