Just saw this photo from an online group of one of the new Shastas. In her words.. "I think the Shasta factory has forgotten how to work with aluminum trim." She said it was like that on all the curves.. and so overtightened, that it goes in and out.. Check it out..

Wow! That must be some really thin J-rail. I admit I over tightened my eyebrows, they are really thin but my j-rails are thick and tough! Even with a power driver, I didn't dent them.

I visited a Redman trailer assembly line when they had one in Gulfport, and each employee had a job and X number of minutes to do it. You fall behind schedule and they let you go, no ands ifs or buts. Maybe the same approach on these. It's nothing personal, just business.

My issue isn't with the dimples, but with poorly bent curve above the dinette window. There was a post the other day on the TCT Facebook page that showed some other defects like the bolt on gas tank clamp touching the skin and a 1/4" gap in the trim around the dinette windows. Just curious do you get hubcaps when you buy one these? I've yet to see a picture with hubcaps, what are you really getting for $16K?

I have been waiting for a comment about how far the J rail is from the corner coming down the front side. They sure can't be accused of trimming the aluminum to short. Instead of trying to form the J rail they just put in a screw then pulled it down till they could put in the next screw. Probably saved a lot of time that way. With the thought that it has chrome lug nuts I would guess no hubcaps.

I might be missing something here and I hate to use big professional terminology, but I don't see one of those hold-the-door-open thingies. How do you keep the door open if there is a breeze without one of those clipper/hooker dohickies?

I might be missing something here and I hate to use big professional terminology, but I don't see one of those hold-the-door-open thingies. How do you keep the door open if there is a breeze without one of those clippies? These have a hinge that is under pressure by being made a certain way so there is a lot of resistance. They claim in the video that this holds the door open in wind.

C'mon, one little door hook would cure the problem. The J rail profile is unacceptable. Not only does it show lack of craftsmanship, but it's not ATTACHED to the edge as it should be. Screwed into metal only?? And: I'd like to be a birdie in the rafters and get an eagle eye on the front curve metal. (roof overlap and gaps or whatever) Me thinks Shasta missed the boat. OH MY. SIGH. These could have been so cool. I would never let one of mine go out like this...
