I'll bet he said golly gee honey this is worse than I thought. or something like that. My wife says it would have taken hours and two bars of soap inserted oraly to settle me down if that happened to us. Hee hee....I don`t think there is enough soap available. He still would have been spluttering between bubbles. Lets just say that he was NOT a happy camper and its lucky that we were in a far corner of the parking lot.

Glad you made it! Wow, what a nightmare... Thanks vikx. That it was...I don`t ever want to go though anything like that again. We took it easy, 50-60 mph and lots of stopping to check her (paranoid lol). But she made it home just fine. We got in at 4.06am today(Sunday) and with only 8 hrs sleep since Thurday morning, she looked better than us lol. I decided from the get go to document it just incase our fix worked and it may help someone else.

I hate that this happened to you but I am glad you two have the restore experience you have. It is a good learning thread for new ones looking for a trailer. I know I would never have been able to do what you did out there in the parking lot to get the camper road ready. GOOD JOB!!!!!!!! Doug & I enjoyed meeting you at Riverbend.

I glad you guy got it home...This same thing could have happened to my trailer towing it home and I 'm sure many others. I hope it's all smooth sailing from here.

I'm so sympathetic I wanted to cry for you, but I also know that if anyone was up for dealing with this, it's you guys! Your bond with this gal will be even greater, and like the worst travel experiences make the best stories, this is gonna be "The Best of 2013." So glad she's finally home, and she is a beauty.

Quite the story. So sorry for the troubles, but looks like you both are smart and strong and got through it. Congrats.

You guys did an awesome job taking carfe of business in what must have been a very stressful situation! Way to keep your cool and do what needed to be done! Did the shipper refund any of your money?? Thanks John. Like I said, the shipper was awesome. Prior to pick up I mentioned payment and he said "Oh just pay me when I deliver". He had to carry on to make another drop in South Florida so we met him on I10 just outside New Orleans. Asked what we owed him and he said $400 is fine. He`d brought her 2/3 of the way and asked for half. Anyone needs his number just pm me.

Its surprising what you can do when you have to. In our upper 50`s sure didn`t help much . It was great to finally meet you guys too.

Lesser folk would have just looked the other way and left it in that parking lot. You guys showed the very best of "Yankee Ingenuity" even though neither of you are Yanks! She IS going to be beautiful, even with the boo boos on her skin. Glad you made it home safely, and we look forward to rebuild pics. Hamlet and his people salute you!
