I sanded and repainted the curtain rods and the curtains are now installed. Somehow when I took everything apart I lost two of the clips so I was unable to install the rod that runs through the bottom of the curtain that covers the rear awning window. I'll have to keep an eye on Ebay to see if something comes up. A fresh coat of paint on the original rods and clips. Looking back. Looking forward. All I need now is a mattress and some beer!

Check into rods that are actually thin springs-many trailers used them for tucking that rear curtain in. A simple cafe rod will work as well. After all, who's going to inspect the rear curtain rods??

I still have the lower rod so if I can't find the same clips I'll probably just make some kind of a bracket to hold the rod in place. I really don't know how I could have misplaced those clips though.

Hi Peter, I had a look at your thread here and... wow! The attention to detail and workmanship... your trailer is truly a thing of beauty. I want to ask, if I could, where you sourced your Marmoleum tile from? I was looking at VCT tile and having trouble getting that without paying $120 in shipping or driving 3 hours. David

David Hi David, I went to a local interior design shop called Avenue Interiors in Toronto. The reason I went there was because they are very close to me and they had samples I could look at. There are several flooring stores in Toronto that carry Forbo products but I think everything is special order from the U.S. Make sure you're sitting down when they give you a quote! Marmoleum is quite expensive compared to VCT. Peter

Great story and great job. The best way to find those rod pieces is to make some and install them. Lost items show up a lot once you give up. I am glad you brought them up as when I was putting my curtains back in after cleaning, I was thinking there was a better way to keep the bottom closer to the wall. I didn't even notice the clips on the wall about a foot in either direction. Just need a rod now.
