I went to a junk/vintage/antique/pickers store today to pick up a sweet little turquoise gas lantern, and when I told the girl what I wanted it for, she pointed me to a magazine rack full of old magazines. I'd never had looked at them at all, but she told me some of them were RV-ing magazines. I bought them all, about 15 total, for three for $1.00. They all date 1968 - 1972. VERY cool reading in my future.

That's a really neat find. I'll give you a little advice about old magazines though, they STINK!! As in smell awful.
I got some for my trailer and they were so bad I couldn't stand to read them. I got a big rectangular plastic box and some cheap plain clay cat litter, put the magazines in the sealed box on top of the litter. And a couple weeks later the smell was almost gone. It isn't just magazines that stink as they age, all paper products end up like that, you should have smelled the wallpaper I bought, hoo boy did it stink.
I'm storing my magazines in the box with a thin layer of litter so they stay smelling good.

That's a great find theresa. Now you have something to put in the magazine racks in your trailer. If you don't have any magazine racks get some.

I also have a "no name" one that came from a salvaged trailer. I have tons of magazines to put in them! Though they aren't exactly the correct era, they're still very cool. It's neat that some of the ads have the retail prices of the trailers. SaveSave

Also got these cool 60s opera glasses at another garage sale. Forgive the wife's knitting staging.

I have been looking for shelves, and bins to restore my vintage refrigerator. I came across photos of these old GE refrigerators with lazy susan shelves. How cool is that? They don't make them like they used to! Had shelves like this in my childhood fridge.Opened the door once, rolled the shelf looking and our cat was on it! Good memory😀

One of a few cool finds I had found at the house my mother in law bought. A 1950s Samsonite briefcase. In pretty good shape overall. Oh man that is a beautiful briefcase. I'd put my trailer papers in it.

I've been wanting to show off a few of the goodies I've acquired for the trailer. Finally got pics of a few Here's this awesome lantern we had to have, it's only about 5" tall and I still need to get a lantern battery to make sure it works. Even if it doesn't, it's still cute. Here's one set of salt and pepper shakers I have. I've always been drawn to them and used to collect them, but they got broken over the years what with kids and all. Seems I'm falling back into the habit since I now have three sets And of course when I saw the matching drippings bowl I couldn't pass it up. I can't believe neither of these things have ever been used, they are from an old store the sellers family owned and are new old stock. When I'm feeling better I'll share some more of my cool finds. Thanks mobiltech for starting this thread. This thread is great! Like the green color you have here. They look just right to be in your trailer.

I am sure I will put a Dazey wall bracket in my trailer. I love Dazey appliances and have most of them. Here is my ice crusher in a Dazey stand: 20161125_160901_HDR by vintagehotdog, on Flickr And here are the bottle opener and jar opener we usually keep up, but sometimes the juicer stays out. The thing that looks like a bottle cap is a magnet to catch the cap. You can take it out of the bracket for a "V: can opener. 20161125_160917_HDR by vintagehotdog, on Flickr The juicer in front of the Hummel spice rack which has the story of each spice on the back of each jar: 20161126_091019_HDR by vintagehotdog, on Flickr

Those are cool hotdog, I think I'll have to see what else there is. I much prefer vintage can openers and stuff than modern, they just don't hold up as well. The green is called jade glass and if I could I'd have everything in my house jade glass and milk glass but I don't trust people (my kids) using it and not breaking it.

Thank you, the dream is to get a 100 year old farmhouse to remodel. If I hadn't got laid off a year ago it would have happened this spring. The Jade Glass does have the perfect look. Here is my can opener along with the "Electric" (ie magnetic) lid lifter and the sharpener. Both of which work very well. 20161126_085301_HDR by vintagehotdog, on Flickr

Here is my 100 year old table my grandpas parents bought new with the dishes I found on eBay. Grandma had some of this Clover Time pattern which I got but there were only a few plates and a couple of bowls that were in pretty bad shape. In 5 years only 2 partial sets have shown up on eBay. I purchased both. Then there is my favorite fork. Not sure where I got it but it is the one i always used. 1940 Inheritance pattern. I found a set of 12 on eBay missing only one piece. The fork. I think these will look good in that 100 year old farm house. Unfortunately I will be 100 by then too! 20150125_162029 by vintagehotdog, on Flickr
