Hello, Thanks for letting me join this site. I am not new to vintage campers, I have owned a 78 Airstream Exella 500 in the past. We enjoyed that unit for the decade plus that we owned it and once our kids got older it was time for the unit to move on.
Another decade goes by and the feelings for the vintage trailers never went away, we wanted something smaller and as of yesterday we are the proud owners of an Avion T-20.
This unit is in fairly original condition, it still has the original layout, front dinette, curb side grouch with rear bath. Still has the original stove, hood and heater. Ac was upgraded to a Coleman some years ago.
This unit has an awning that is made of aluminum like the end of a zip dee. In other words, no fabric of any kind, just interlocking slats of aluminum. I have tried to google it but can't find any info, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome.
I think you may have to buy a "new" vintage awning. I haven't seen an aluminum slatted awning for years. If yours is in good shape, you might consider sprucing it up??

The awning and roll are in good shape, the problem is the arms rafters (if any?) and lower mounds. I can't find a manufacturer stamp or insignia. Would you know who produced such an awning?

Sounds like something trailertrasher might have used. Hopefully somebody with his email will chime in.

IMG_4431 by Felix Nicolini, on Flickr It took some rigging but I got the awning to at least roll out. I only had one of the outer tube parts of the arm, it was damaged at the bottom, I chose to cut the tube in half so that I could create a bottom mount for front and rear. The inner tube of the arm assembly has 2 predrilled hole locations that would allow the inner tube to extend and help take the sag out of the awning. The tube stock seems weak as far as wall thickness of the tube goes. there is no rafter to tie the awning back to the unit when the arm would be extended

nccamper, sorry for not answering your question, it is a 1962 Avion T-20. The good. It is quite complete inside, original cabinets and rear bath are in tact. Original sink (dated late july of 61), original Princess stove (in good shape) original propane heater. The bad, hot water heater has been replaced (atwood with white hatch), fridge has been replaced with dorm style (some wood butchery to opening to make it fit).
I have been working on the electrical and got the 120v side hot, original lights 4 out of 6 working, AC not sure of date, is functioning. I haven't messed with 12v, waiting for some replacement LED tail lights to get the exterior lighting working and then will dive into 12v interior lighting.
The tongue has been replaced at some point. I will have to remove some of the belly pan in the front to work on 12v system so I will see at that time why and how well the tongue replacement was done.

IMG_4429 by Felix Nicolini, on Flickr Patched the exterior hole. I used Sikaflex and Olympic rivets. This damage is/was fairly extensive as it even penetrated the inner skin. Looking closely one can see how the dent part of the penetration goes all the way up the panel. It is now water tight and will suffice for now. Once my new supply of Olympic rivets arrives I will remove the old battery box and mount a battery on the tongue behind the propane tanks.

Thanks for posting. It is fun to see one of these get fixed up. Pictures of the inside would be nice to see.

I want to do a trailer like this or a smaller Spartan. I just don’t think I have the skills to get dents out of the aluminum.

It is almost impossible to remove dents, I just call them Character. Penetrations are the big problem and short of replacing an entire panel, it is acceptable to put a patch over it. I did the same thing with the Airstream I sold years ago (still sometimes regret selling it).
