may I ask what color orange this is? I like it. I wonder if it’s close to like the rustoleum kubota or allis chalmars orange?

Here is the ORANGE paint I used on my trailer. I know the image looks very red in this picture...but it is my orange as seen in all my other pictures.

It's a single stage urethane paint and it looks great. Hope that helps.

Tractor Supply had an opened quart for $7. I really like yours and maybe this will be close. I might have to mix a little red in it to make better.

Took our little trailer out this weekend. We're trying to get it ready for a week long jont to the Oregon coast later in July. This trip was just up to the high country here in AZ. That 7000' elevation sure made for some nicer temps!
I took one of my sons and a couple of his little guys. Proved papa's trailer is pretty darn cool.

Well, let me just say that I am so touched by your photos. To see you sharing your love of the outdoors with the next generation is what it is all about....those little boys will have those memories with them forever. I still remember taking my 2 year old son on my own (I was newly divorced) camping with my first pop-up....it was pure joy! The trips we have taken over the years have created the best memories. He is now 27, but is a true outdoor lover, and that is my greatest joy. Your camper is the coolest!!! Congrats on an amazing job!

Excited that my awning material showed up. I purchased one of the 12' x 10' replacement kits off of Amazon. I then took everything over to my local hot-rod upholstery shop...they're going to sew the valance on and reinforce the front in 4 locations so I can install some grommets for the tent poles I also purchased off of Amazon...what did we ever do without the internet? I don't know how we survived as a society... phone books, mail order catalogs, actual store fronts...

I'll keep everyone updated once things are back from the upholstery shop.

Got my Awning back from the upholster just in time to give it a go this last weekend. I purchased a 12' x 10' off Amazon and had the upholstery guy sew on the valance along with installing some grommets and reinforcing the corners. It was a little snug pulling it through the awning channel...but after a little persuasion it worked out perfect...couldn't be happier.

Here are a few shots of our trip. Mt. Graham, AZ Memorial Day Weekend, 2019

All packed and ready to bug-out - stopped for a little lunch at our favorite mexican food joint before hitting the road!

Made it to the mountain in about 3.5 hours. This is the longest we've gone so far one way. Pulled nice and smooth.

Got the trailer all leveled and set-up.

The awning went up great

The old man dreaming of his next adventure...Oregon coast mid-July...here we come!

Awesome road trip to the Redwoods of Northern CA to the Southern OR coast. A much needed escape from the Arizona HEAT. Over 3,000 miles logged and everything went almost flawlessly. We love our little Shasta and it is a breeze to tow.

Here are a few pics of our 10 day outing...

Gassing up in Wikieup, AZ

Noticed my drivers side trailer tire was loosing air...had a screw removed. Tire repaired and back on the road. Best $15 I spent that day! (like I said...almost flawless)

We were able to introduce our Shasta to Mt. Shasta...awesome sight!

Made it to Brookings, OR. Gray, foggy sky, 60°, and beautiful.

Camped for 3 days at Turtle Rock RV Resort just south of Gold Beach, OR. Highly recommended site.

Don't think we would have fit!

What a great trip. The roads were great. Most importantly the temperatures were what was needed to recharge our batteries...even took McShasta across the Golden Gate bridge.

Mixed emotions as we turned the truck inland for the long hot drive home... Already planning our next adventure!

Took our little trailer out again this weekend...Really the first chance to have it go through a through water test...(it rained every day). Found I have a small leak at the back window. I understand this is typical on these because I've seen others remark/comment. The top slopes slightly inward which creates a natural ponding issue at the bottom of the frame. Has anyone been able to remedy this or do I just have to be sure to carry lots of towels and dry out as soon as I can?

Well...here's a couple shots of our latest outing...we sure enjoyed the cool temps, rain and beautiful country. Can you believe this is in ARIZONA? Most people think we only have desert and cactus!
