I had started a thread when I got the trailer...but the whole photobucket thing pretty much rendered the posts useless...who likes to look at non-pics? Anyway I had the thread deleted and thought I would do a pictorial journey from start to where we currently stand today. This has been a 20 month journey. Well probably more like 12 for me cause here in AZ you can't work inside an aluminum oven for very long...so the workable months are reverse of everywhere else...mostly Oct. to May kind of a thing. I got the trailer as a trade for some work I did for my uncle. He knew a little about it's history...but it's condition was a mystery to both of us. It has spent it's entire life in AZ...but parked for many years in the north country with cold & snow. I knew it had a few issues as there were several places that were "squishy". The title says it's a 1972...we ALL know that's wrong. The older style siding puts it closer to 1965-66. Apparently somewhere along the way the title was lost and a new VIN assigned. Maybe someday I'll try to go back and see about that...but for now it's a '72. I think I'll divide this up into several posts showing the different phases I went through to get it where it is currently. The VIN stamped on the frame...

Okay...one more for tonight. Once the walls were in and mostly shellacked I started to build the face frames for the cabinets, closets, etc. Here is the lay-out originally... Except the range and sink are flipped. I'm keeping with this layout mostly. I decided to not build the gaucho...rather make the rear bed a permanent feature. We also didn't keep the bunks. More about that later. Notice how good that ceiling looks...no water stains anywhere.
