This is the thread I was talking about, If you decide to go this route I would suggest getting the width the correct size or the next smaller size for less sewing. Im going to get the 12ft one for my Airflyte then I will just have to sew the scallop on and hammer some grommets and done! simple and looks great! vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/8700/best-value-awnings-out

I have been looking at those awnings on Amazon...I think Ebay has a better price. I'm going to buy the orange stripe. Hopefully it'll look okay with my camper. Thanks for the link.

I just spent the evening reading your entire build, very entertaining and informative and I saved a few of those photos where you clearly set them up as photos that teach without text like your stove backsplash, very nice work all!

heck yea! I love the new chevys. Did you get your awning finished? No awning yet...We had to drop everything and have moved temporarily north to UT. My wife's folks are ailing and their health is a concern...so we've gone to take care of them in their old age (we believe in karma). We've got some property with a large metal building / shop so I've put it in storage for the rest of the season...hopefully we'll get back to normal life next spring. Like I said change happens.

I’ve been using your build thread for inspiration and reference. It’s getting too far down the list so let’s bump it back to the top.

I was pretty impressed you did all of this in your driveway. I'm lucky to have my rebuild in a garage, and can't imagine the added pressure of having the neighbors b****ing about my trailer in the driveway. Learned a lot here....thanks.

Nice job on your trailer and thanks for posting the journey! My question is did you happen to keep track of expenses? I have been saving all of my receipts but haven't added them up yet, besides I'm not done yet. When I am I cringe to think how much it will come to. I am thinking of a frame up next including rebuilding interior like you did, which is why I'd be curious to know what your final tally of $$ was to get her looking that good! Thanks!

I learned a long time ago to not look at the receipts. I also restore old cars and you gotta do it for the love of the game...otherwise they're all a money pit.
I can't imagine how anyone makes a living at restoring these things, my hat's off to them. For me it's all about the finished product. If I ever saw the actual numbers I know I'd be disgusted. Certainly the wife would be;)

StrangeOne,
may I ask what color orange this is? I like it. I wonder if it’s close to like the rustoleum kubota or allis chalmars orange?

It's a Chevy Orange... I could pull a code off of the can. I'll check and get back to you.

Well, I finally bought the awning off of Amazon...my order is on it's way (poles too). As soon as I get it I'll post some images, but hoping to have it ready for my camp out in a couple weeks. I understand that since it's a kit for a different application there might be a little of fabbing up to do, but I'm ready.
Couldn't beat the price...details to follow.
