I thought it was maybe time to post all my progress in this one thread. I am going to start with the rebuild since I know of a frame ready to rebuild. The frame was sandblasted and painted grey. Here is is my starting point.
Sorry no update yesterday but today I cut the metal for the wheel wells. If I did them wrong I did both wrong because I use the first one as the template. Here is the pattern I used. I am going to cover the birch plywood side with metal as well to help it last longer.
I can feel the pain of that wound. Been there several times. Yeah, take care and do not get into too big of a hurry, let that injury heal. It seems that this group of people likes to have fun, but, We too are a concerned lot.

has anyone used 18 gauge staple to attache the birch walls and ceiling panels to the 1x2s?
I used 18g staples on seam areas where the strips of wood will cover, but then used twisty nails where the strips wont cover. And I will use twisty nails to hold the strips on. But Im not done yet so I cant say how it holds up in the long run...
Did some more painting and cleaning up the frame. Waiting for the sheet metal to get bent so I can put the floor down. Got the tile yesterday so to show the wife what it will look like I mocked up the tile on the floor.
