I expected more rot on the ceiling because of how the panel looked, but again not much rot at all. It was very difficult to get all curbing off when its not rotted. It actually took us a lot longer than expected to get this roof panel off. Wires, gas line, trying not to damage the panel next to it. There were 4 alone on this front top piece, there was one on the right and left center and one above and one below the gas lamp hole. Sanded and shellacked it today. IMG_3925 by Mel L, on Flickr

Nothing exciting today, it rained earlier then the sun came out at 5, so I went out and wire brushed and painted one coat of paint on the tongue, step and bumper. Also I started taking apart the dinette cushions. IMG-3930 by Mel L, on Flickr

Not much to report today. I spend most of the day chaperoning a field trip for my daughters class. But after I got home we cut the ceiling panel cut and shellacked. And we got another coat of paint on the tongue, bumper and step.

Wow you're really getting things done fast! This is how I envision the next one (Franklin), take as little apart as possible. The interior is too nice to tear down. Taking notes!

The 110 is taking longer than expected, today I installed some extra plugs. One by the back bed, one in the closet(for a mini fridge because I can only assume the original fridge doesnt work) one under the dinette(to plug in the converter) and one exterior plug under the camper near the front. Hooked up 2 of the 3 lights, then gave up for the day. Feeling guilty Im not out there now working, I really need to get the dinette benches sanded and shellacked, theres always tomorrow I guess I put a fancy usb plug in the back by the bed for phone/tablet charging. I originally wanted to put that plug a lot lower near the ground, but decided to put it near the top so the kitchen can share it. Hope I dont regret it. IMG-3985 by Mel L, on Flickr

Larry likes 1 x 3/16 for the J rail and awning rail. I've had good luck with it, tho have also had to cut down in size for certain J rail. (3/4 x 1/8)
Roofing companies sell the 1/2 x 1/16 butyl for a lot less than RV stores. Call around...

I use 1 inch by 1/8 thick for the rest of the trailer and I do two layers for anything on top of the trailer but I still suck the screws all the way down and squeegy out the excess. I just like to be double sure on top.

Today I shellacked the shelf I made yesterday, it will go where the heater was. I also nailed in the strips that cover the seams and put up most of the curbing. My husband finished up the breaker box. IMG-4009 by Mel L, on Flickr IMG-4007 by Mel L, on Flickr Let there be light! IMG-4025 by Mel L, on Flickr
