Yes. Those were the two I pulled out of Evansville, IN a few weeks ago. What is really strange and made me laugh out loud was, I wrote Ross with the vin# on a Lowflyte and a Compact I just aquired with the vin#'s. Then realized the funny part. It was about the same time a year ago when I wrote him about my 63 Compact and 68 Lowflyte I had just bought! Yep, two different Compacts and Lowflytes about a year apart and showing up here at the same time together in pairs each year! My freinds think I'm weird due to my picking always seams to run in pairs and patterns.
Finally measured the hole in the roof (see metal hanging from ceiling?) from the tree trunk crash through. It measures over 33" across at widest point. It's goona be tuff having the 26"X26" new moon roof vent/escape hatch cover the entire hole! Guess I'll be installing it in a diamond pattern instead of running parrallel with the trailer sides LOL!
I've gotten a call on a "mystery, pregnant volkswagon looking ham can thingie camper" that I need to drive out in the next day or two an hour away and check it out for 350 or less and get it out of there. They also have a hippie camper that used to tour with the dead and a 22' silver eagle they want me to buy too.

Hamlet suspects no later than about '66. That center stripe was also connected with a change in the break pattern on the skin. This still has the 6" breaks. Also, and we may be wrong here, didn't they change away from jalousie windows in the later versions?

Soup...
This is just my half-assed guess (I was going to say "educated guess", but thought the better of that....)
This one is either a late-65 or '66 version. The canned hams were done in the end of the '64 model year. In '65 and '66, most of the models, Compacts included, were painted with the spear stripe on the 6' brakes in the siding.
It was mid-'67 when they went to the "gold-stripe" model, with the change in the siding pattern altogether, which had the belt-stripe, and the skirt stripe in the gold anodized -aluminum.
The interior features (with the exception of the missing propane lamp) are consistent with the mod-60's versions also, the drawer pulls are right, and the paneling is correct. I believe they had the propane lamp in them right through the 50' to the 70's. Perhaps that was an option on some models though...it does not appear that one had been removed. The almond color stove is also familiar, but I know that is not a sure indication.
Be sure to check on all sides of the bottom of the sink. It should be porcelain finish rather than stainless steel. (If it is stainless, there is little to no chance there would be a stamp on it.) The date stamps on the sinks I have seen are not on the bottom of the bottom, but rather on the bottom of one of the long sides.
I am pretty sure the heater was an option in the Compacts from '65 on, but I am not too sure before that. It would have had to have been ordered from the dealer originally to include it.
I can't find any information on which years offered the optional tree growing through them, so that part remains a bit of a mystery..........
When Ross gets a chance he can probably narrow it down better for you by the S/N, but if I were pressed I would call it a '66 from what I can see.

Hey Soup,
I agree with Hamlet and Number Ten. It's a 1965 or 1966. We have a 1965 (larger model) and have the same back splash, light fixture, stove color, handles, paneling, aluminum rock guard on the lower front, etc. Just a miniature version of our 18' Super. It's a cutie, can't wait to see how it turns out!

Perfectionist and everything has to be in balance and in place. A place for everything and everything in it's place LOL But my picking units always just works out that way. Even when I used to pick scrap cars. Always in pairs either by make & model or color or something in pairs.

@ Hamlet, et al...
I believe they got away from the jalousie windows in the '70 model year or so. My '69 still has them in it, and it has the gold-stripe pattern.

Well here is a 66 brochure I just dug up, that looks like mine except for fridge vent unit. Brochure reads that gas fridge was an option, furnace and upper back bunk options this year too. Note no gas lamp above stove on the brochure and doesn't mention it for option this year of compact.

Just remembered, it has stainless sink. Whats really weird it has the first custom factory sink cover I've ever seen on one of the Shastas.
