That cover is a cool feature. It definitely gives the illusion of a lot more counter than is actually there, 'specially in a Compact. The stainless sink won't help any. I know the odds are it was made in the Indiana plant, but if it is a Pennsylvania graduate I might be able to help by the S/N. This one has some similarity also, was supposed to be a '66:

Hey Soup, I agree with Hamlet and Number Ten. It's a 1965 or 1966. We have a 1965 (larger model) and have the same back splash, light fixture, stove color, handles, paneling, aluminum rock guard on the lower front, etc. Just a miniature version of our 18' Super. It's a cutie, can't wait to see how it turns out! Does yours have the gas lamp on the diamond quilt stove backsplash?

Yeah, we have a 63 compact we can compair to. But Thanks again. Late 65 was when they started looking like the one in question. I'm still leaning towards it being a 66.

I just found another 65/66 compact brochure that shows the gas lamp on the cabinet front above bench seat next to door. Mine has been removed. That is why it isn't showing up on the stove backsplash. Mine does have the hole in the cabinet for it. The gas line to it has been disconnected behind the stove but there is no copper line in the cabinet for the lamp!??! I think I'm still voting 66. See the lamp in red circle. Mine has a mount on back wall for a table. Does anyone have measurements for that table top? Mine is missing. Also the 2 beds have slide outs. Does this table stay up when beds come out or does it rest on top of beds to make 1 big bed? Just wondering.

Soup, do you happen to know if the Evansville people have any trailers they are willing to part out? Or do they just want to sell them all intact? I need a door frame and an icebox for my '64 Airflyte, would be willing to drive down there if they have what I'm looking for at a reasonable price...

Ours has gas light but since it's a larger model it is mounted between the overhead cabinets above sink/stove/counter. Our backsplash is the same diamond quilt as yours, I think the backsplash changed in 1967 to a laminate.

Guess that means it is a '66... Glad to help. Or at least pretend to.... No, you helped! I thought you were in at 66 also. Everything I was reading and hearing from you, others, and the Shasta Archives DVD from Juergen Eichemueller, led me to believe it to be a 66. I need to start serious demo by this weekend and I won't do work on them untill I have the needed police checks, etc. and title applied for. Reason being in Indiana, by the time they even let you apply for title, everything has already been checked out as far as duplicate vin number being used, check for theft, etc.. Everything has been accomplished but the turning in of all the paperwork and paying the state for the title. So I was going down this morning to turn everything in so I can have title in hand by the end of next week. Thank you Number Ten and everyone else who helped. Soup Getting ready to peel the lid off it now!

The only bummer about peeling the lid off this kind of tin can is that we usually already have a pretty good idea of what's inside! Good luck on the build, Soup, we can't wait to see pictures.

Well here is my 2 cents worth. I have a Compact that is licensed as a 68 (original plates) but was probably built in 67. Propane light is above the stove, No heater, table mounted to rear bracket. Single propane tank. Same paint scheem.

It's a '66. The '65s didn't have the roof-mounted spare tire.
