Soup I'm with you on your thoughts of this being a 66. I've found that 66 is a transition year for the Shasta exterior and have found that the various factories would "run out" products/pieces before starting with new upgrades. So, some 66's look like yours and some have the gold band on them. Also, it wasn't until 67 that they changed out the appliances to avacado green instead of the off-white. Also, the aluminum back splash was dropped in 67 and the typical marbled marlite instead...I wish mine had that back slash...LOL This information was given to me by an ex employee at the Leola, PA plant. Sadly, he has passed and getting any more information may be impossible unless I find other ex employees.

Well here is a 66 brochure I just dug up, that looks like mine except for fridge vent unit. Brochure reads that gas fridge was an option, furnace and upper back bunk options this year too. Note no gas lamp above stove on the brochure and doesn't mention it for option this year of compact. Did you ever find out for certain what this trailer was? It's the spitting image of my 65, fridge vent and no gas light, except for the stripe, mine has a latex painted after market green stripe. I wish it was orange. If this is a 66 brochure, it says it has 110 and butane lighting. And thanks, I wasn't sure that big old fridge vent was original, but I guess it was!!
