I'm new to this form and just picked up a Shasta with no info or paperwork from an Estate sale. The VIN on the frame is V3630. Any help with year and model would be great. From what I've read I believe it late 50's early 60's Airflyte. Sorry about the delay.
The Database leads me to believe it's a 1959 Airflyte (Guess on model without photo) built in Goshen, Indiana (plant #2)

I just acquired a 1959 Shasta 16 foot trailer. VIN V2734. I know it was built in Indiana, but I don't know when. I also don't know for sure what model it is. Perhaps an Airflight? I have a picture to post, but not sure how to do that. Thank you for any help you can provide. OK, figured it out with help from you all. Thanks so much. Here is the photo. Shasta by James Smith, on Flickr Sorry about the delay.
Also an 1959 Airflyte built in Goshen, Indiana (plant #2)

Recently purchased a Shasta that I intend to remodel. I believe the vin is C09547. Can you help in identifying the year and model of this camper? Thank you for your help.
Can’t figure out how to add a picture.

Based on the vin it's a 1958 (probably Airflyte) made in Van Nuys, California (Plant #1)
Photos will help confirm the model.

Hi Ross, Not intending to pester but also not sure yet how well message notifications work on here, so just in case it didn’t let you know, I sent you some information/question about my Shasta in a pm a few days ago. No rush, just didn’t want it to get lost if the forum decided not to tell you it was there.

It won’t let me edit my post that I can see, so here are the numbers I could find on the tongue, as best as I could read them.

1963 Shasta Airflyte built at the Northridge, California plant.
To get estimates of what it's worth we would need another thread with photos of the interior. Especially rot and water damage.

I bought a Shasta 1500 with a title that says 1951. I know that isn't possible. But by comparing body shape and front side windows I suspect it is a 1955. VIN is C5166. I believe that is why the original owner registered as a 1951. Do you have a vin # close enough to confirm the year of conception? Also, the sink was removed so I don't have that clue.

Hello.
Thanks for helping with dating our Shasta as 59 as I always thought she might be. We bought her from the original family who bought it in 1960.
I have a question as well need to know what year we have.
Today we picked up a new Shasta. No date for her but they listed her as an 66 which I know it's not as it still the canned ham style. Also I know the SCS rear door model was only made from 1960 to 64 with half way through 64 it changing to the more square body style. As I read what others posted about their SCS vins a few have a vin starting with just the letter S and then numbers. Ross would always ask if there was a G or F before the S saying they should be. And many with the SCS model don't have anything but the S yet the plate on the side is showing Northridge. I am now wondering if maybe some of the SCS only had a S? To me it seems to be the 63 and 64 models that do this. I could be so wrong and off base. But thought I would throw it out there.
New one is S21861. And she is the SCS with the rear door. If I had to guess 63? We also have a 72 but it vin is odd 6940 but no doubt she is an 1400 model and an 72 as I have the manual with her.
Thanks for all the help and taking over. This is an amazing data base to have

Crazycampergirl,
The SCS is a strange model with a limited production run at odd intervals. FS21861 would be a 1963 built in Northridge, CA. Without the F it could be a mid 70s. From what you’re telling me, I think it’s a 1963. Can you share an exterior photo? You’ll find tutorials showing how to link photos to your post here: vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/7276/add-photos-hosted-flickr-tutorialI can’t find any reference to a 70s Shasta 6940 without a letter in front.
