Brush it with a stiff wire brush and look very close as many times they are very hard to see, if you have a school age person available have them look some times they can see them easier.

Current update ....Im so frustrated... I cant find any other numbers stamped on frame rails except the ones curbside tongue rail. I asked my sheriff buddy he ran the numbers and came up with nothing...he told me I could fill out a form as if I built the trailer and call it anything I want. How do you like them apples.

My 68 Shasta had never been titled so nothing came up but the numbers on the right (curb side) frame rail says it is a 68 made in Indiana. So I took picture, the B.O.S. and a letter stating that to my knowledge it had never been titled just pulled with weight tags and they issued me a new title for a 1968 Shasta after they ran a complete search to see if it showed up anywhere as stolen. Took about three days. This was the first thing I did, before I even washed it.

I just think it is sad that there is this loop hole so to speak were we can register a trailer under what ever name we come up with because I still wont know or ever know what exactly it is. But happy I will still be able to get paper on it.

Moonshiner! I can so relate. That's exactly what happened with ours a couple PO back. Our trailer was christened "West" and assigned a year "1957" and we didn't have a clue until I posted a pic of it here and the guys immediately guessed it was instead a mid - late 6o's and that it was named after the dealership it had come from in Indiana. I'm always looking for pics or info about what her real name, birthday, and heritage are. The old guy at the trailer supply store that we frequent here in the city says that lots of small companies would pop up, make a hundred or so trailers, then go out of business. So we may never ever know. *sigh*. But I'll probably always keep looking.

I'm sure its birth parents were just in a bad situation and had to put it up for adoption. Those crazy kids, it was probably a shotgun factory.

I know many more knowledgeable people than I have looked at this but when I first looked at that label this is what I saw. May not be helpful, but thought I'd share just in case.
Possibly a "B" or "S", letter or space, "M" (capital but shorter), possibly "I", "N" (again cap.). D?, B?, then another letter, can't tell if there's more to the label.
To me the bottom of the "B" or whatever that is doesn't extend down as far as the base of the other letters, making me think it may be a logo of some type.

The first letter could be an R or K the second letter looks like an M the third looks like an N the forth letter either a B D or J Fifth letter could be an D I or L . None of it gives me a clue.

Hi fellow trailer lovers , just an update I finally know for sure my mystery trailer is an "Excel" ..... I was able to read the outlines of what was left of the stickers. Yeahhh... however I contacted excel from texas and they said there was a cali co that went out of business. They want me to send the vin # but of course I still cant find that =(
