I am new to this forum and keep finding myself asking where do you live? Especially in reference to something that needs to be bought that you find local.
So where is your local? And what type of trailer do you have?
I'm Martha from Waukesha, Wisconsin and we have a 1965 Friendship Vacationaire.

Hi Martha I'm Big Bill and I live in Ohio. I have owned many kinds and styles of Campers from tents on up I currently am redoing a Shasta 1500. Most of us will try to give you a Chain Store or a Place that will ship to you. Many things you want won't be available locally unless you are much luckier than most of us. I build a lot of the things that I can and either buy from my closest large RV dealer or the internet. You will discover that many people will not disclose their exact location on the net a state is about as close as you will get. Welcome to the board you will find a vast amount of excellent information available here plus a little fun and friendly conversation. Also A lot of items are found at your local ace hardware store or one one their competitors.

Hi, I'm Jody and I'm in the Piedmont region of NC. I have a 1968 Shasta 1500. I am currently in the process of building her from the frame up.. Right now she just has some studs on the front and back walls. We are definitely learning as we go. Welcome!

Hi Martha,
Many will share their location with you. Some of us prefer not to; which is fine as well.
We tried a map but it was just too public.

Martha, I to am a newbie to vintage trailers. I have had trailers in the past, but the vintage seem to be more special to me. I just recently purchased a 1968 Aristocrat Lo Liner and can't wait to get started on it. Right now have some foot problems that is holding me back. My home is in Oklahoma, so I am surrounded, so to speak. Looking forward to being a "vintage".....LOL

Hi I'm Marguerite and live in Oakland Ca with my teenage son. I rebuilt a 1956 Shasta 1500 named aguadream a couple of years ago, took her on a 6000 mile journey that summer, and take her camping all the time. Welcome. You can read about it on here or at aguadream.blogspot.com

Welcome Martha, We are the Smiths and live in Cotton Mouth County, NC. It’s just up the road from "Hard To Reach National Forest" (aka the Piedmont, outside the cities, in a quaint subdivision)
We have a 71 Loflyte.. never really gave her a proper name yet. I've called it a few things while working on her though.. But "Tramp" just doesn't have that nice "campy" ring to it.

Hi Martha, my name is Kim, and I live in western North Carolina. I have a 63 Shasta Airflyte. I am all thumbs when it comes to a hammer, so I am having mine redone. Her name is RiverSong. Maybe once you, Pathfinder and I get our campers finished, we can go camping together.

We are going to hit the field hard this years and start it early. We want to do Merl Fest in April and then to Hawassee the weekend after. You otta make it down to GA. in May for the ralley. "Everybody who is anybody" is attending.. unless of course you guys can't come then it's different. The gig is already getting the reputation for being the coolest, most rad vintage camper ralley on the east coast. I'm thinking about getting a new set of strings for the axe finding that set of bongo's I use to have.

I will be the one in the tent as my camper may not be ready even just to sleep in, due to circumstances beyond control of every one involved!! My camping season will be getting a late start this year, but watch out next year!!
