WhitneyK, thanks for that info!!! We had no idea about the lighted door grab! Now I know what the little switch inside on the wall is for !!
Best we can tell us we have a 66 Astroflyte with some upgrades. Currently working on painting and cleaning. Next step will be figuring out why the running lights and 12v interior don’t work. Tail lights work fine. After that we will tackle the Holiday stove. Then clean up the bathroom. Last step, find new cushions for the dinette.

VIN help please! Missouri Highway Patrol came to help me inspect my Shasta for a VIN and in 2 locations, (one on the plate on the inner tongue driver side, and the one we found stamped on the outer tongue passenger side), we found the same series. V2065 My research I know this was from the Goshen, IN plant but that’s all I know! Any help with year and model would be GREATLY appreciated! Hopefully my photos uploaded! flic.kr/p/2mWJuBQflic.kr/p/2mWT4D8Shasta flic.kr/p/2mWT4CG

Hello and Welcome,
Your Shasta trailer was manufactured in 1959 and is an Airflyte. When you are in Flickr, click on the arrow in the lower right hand corner of the image and then click on BBCode. Copy and paste that directly into your posts and the photo will show up.
Cheers,
Rod

chrisbcritter, It looks like a great candidate to restore. I am in Mexico at the moment but teachndad has the database and checks often. Hopefully he can give you an exact year for the camper based on the Vin.

Hi Chris,
This trailer is a 1960 Shasta Airflyte according to the VIN database. I know that contradicts the title you have. This trailer is in pretty decent condition for it's age! Thank you for putting it under cover. All these old trailers deserve a structure to keep them safe from Mother Nature. I can't tell you what the B9 on the tail end of the VIN designates. Trailer models such as yours carried that B9 at the end of VIN in years 1959 and 1960. Earlier models carried a B4, a B5, a B6 and a B7. Try the Shasta Sub forum that is part of VTT and post that question there. Might yield an answer.
I hope your boss shares his restoration journey with us.
Cheers,
Rod

Hello friends- Thanks for welcoming me. I’ve had a long-term relationship with a Shasta Motorhome prior to joining this group, but recently purchased a Stratoflyte camper. I am unsure if it’s year, and am glad to see the wealth of info available here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have PA13A and S5513 on the tounge. 5513 on the tag.

It is a 1968 built in Columbia, South Carolina (plant #6). Are you sure it's not a Starflyte?

Dual axel. I have photos. Is the flicker route the only way to share them?

Flickr is the only way I know. Maybe others will chime in.

Hi, You can just post a link from a Google photo as long as it is set to public. We still prefer the actual picture, but it might be a work around for a few pix. Shutterfly can work also for posting pictures. You still need to set up the album. Hopefully Cheers, Rod

I use DropBox to store my photos. It works differently than posting through Flickr. It's easy to do, just have to change the last of the file from ?dl=0 to ?raw=1 and voilà, there it appears. Or at least, last I checked it did? Not saying how I do things is right, but I got it to work... Whitney

I’m one of the keepers of the database but unfortunately it’s at home and I’m overseas right now. But Rod, another moderator, also has access and I’m sure will chime in soon
