Hi there, my name is Nicole and I'm new to the forum. My husband and I just bought a Shasta trailer without a title (we're now aware that was a mistake but we're looking into next steps ) We found what we think is the VIN number on the tongue. Don't want to post it here but is there someone I can PM/contact for help finding the year and model? Thank you!

Hi Nicole, and welcome aboard. Look up our member Ross on the board, he has a good database of VIN numbers for the Shasta line, and has enough to help narrow down year made, and sometimes models too. You can send the VIN privately to him, and keep it out of the public. If you check out the tutorial for posting photos, you may want to put a couple up, as it helps to identify model. Also there is a pretty good selection of the sales brochures posted on here, at vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/board/1/shasta-brochures-vintage-adsA bit of browsing here may help you also.

Your paint scheme, with the "spear stripe", suggests that it was built between 1965 and late '67 or early '68. Before that time, all the models were the "canned-ham" shape and were adorned with the "Z-stripe". After this era, they went to the "gold-stripe" layout, which consists of different brake patterns in the siding and an anodized stripe down the mid-section of the body as well as one at the bottom. It is tough to call the model out, without any information regarding the interior. I thought at first, it would turn out to be an Airflyte model, however the window layout is different than the brochures show. Measuring may be the best way to confirm, but I think you may have the 18-foot "Super".

Hi Ten! That's it, it's a Shasta Super! I can't tell you how excited we are to know that information. Now to look up more about her. :-) And find some wings! Thanks for posting my pics as well, completely forgot about the "IMG" tags.

nc beat me to it, I could not recommend another place to go for the wings. I was on the old forum when Tyler was going through the process of learning which wings fit what models, how they should be shaped, and made his own jigs for the machining of the aluminum for the edges, and the mounts. He charges a really fair price considering the work and tools he put into producing them.

New to the forum. I'm restoring a Shasta and not sure what the year is. It's a 10' compact. Vin #S 33958 and next to that is PA9256.
Any help is much appreciated.
Mark

psfireman Based on the vin# that you posted, there should be or was the letter "F" in front of the "S" and this is based on the fact that your Shasta Compact was born in Northridge, California. If it was, then it was born in 1965. Thanks for the vin#, Mark. Hope this helps, Ross
