We just bought a 1957 West. We haven't been able to find info on this make anywhere! It doesn't have anything in it but the kitchen which is across the front. We are hoping to discover the original floor plan.

It's a Westerner. Mine was listed on the title as a Westa. Every state's DMV picks out a nice little abbreviation for the trailers. I am working on a 57 Westerner now and have worked on another 57 and a 54.

Wow! A friend who recently restored an old trailer recommended this site as being a must have did not steer me wrong. I haven't had time yet to walk through the process of opening a photo bucket account but will try to get to that soon so I can post pics. It has a name plaque front and rear that says "West" Peoria Ill. The title just says West. It is three tone with the bottom third turquoise. Then a narrow tan band above that and the top is white. The sink, icebox, stovetop, and exhaust fan are also turquoise. It has a pressurized water system, a toilet, and a gas light in the main cabin!! I LOVE it. This is our first.

I can't wait to see photos because this may not be a Westerner. Westerners were made in California by the Westfield Corporation. That doesn't mean that they were not shipped out and sold in other states however.

From your photobucket album, select the photo and open the enlarged version. To the right you will see a box, with codes for "links to share this photo", click on the one labeled "img" (bottom selection of the 4). Then, in the reply window, spot where you want it, and right-click to "paste". The code will show up in your reply window, then the photo will show up when you post your reply...like this:

Nope, not going to work for me. I can get as far as selecting the img link but after that nothing on my screen on iPad or smart phone matches the directions and I've looked and experimented with everything I can see but no luck. Boo.

Dawn, after selecting the img link, you should see it turn yellow and say "copied" then it fades...
If you see that, all you do is right click in the body of your post and click paste. Don't use the icons above, just PASTE.
Hope this helps.

Hi Dawn, Sorry you're having trouble posting your pictures. As I do not have an iPad, I cannot test what process is needed to resolve your issue. I have been searching and found what seems the only easy solution which is the free Photobucket App: itunes.apple.com/us/app/photobucket/id314439840Seems that with the app you just tap the picture or video you want to post, select chain icon (top menu), then Select img code by tap. Ready to paste in the forum posting box. Hope this helps. NM

Try this: On the small version in the upper right-hand corner, there's a sprocket-gear looking thing. Hover the cursor over it and it will say "get links." Click on the one that says "direct links" and it will automatically say "copy." Then, right click and paste the link.
