there was a couple of nice installs on the old forum, and I plan on putting mine on the inside as well after I get my floor done.

I would stay away from conventional filament lights, a lot of jarring will break the filament, LED lights will run $25.00 and up, for a cheaper alternative the newer screw in florescent lights will last a while, and use a bit less electricity. we use them in our vanity lights in the bathroom, the regular bulbs only last a month or so do to all the heat/moisture I guess, the florescent ones last 6 months to a year.

yeah, I had some old lumber laying around, and again I was very very surprised how well it works.

I am almost ready to glue my tiles in place, does anyone have a recommendation for a good glue? I went to Lowes today and they had some Commercial VCT adhesive, will that be OK, or is there something a lot better? thanks

well, I decided it was just to hot in the camper to work, plus I am trying to get the inside to "normal" temps so my floor tiles will contract as it gets cooler so I dont get gaps by installing them when it is 90 degrees in the camper, sooo,,, out came the redneck in me, it works remarkably well, a good 15+ degrees cooler in the camper today. it was actually nice in it even though it was around 90 today. after the floor is done I will be starting the AC install inside.

nice, Harbor freight sells a good little 45 watt solar panel kit (3 panels) would work nicely to add some power. it runs about $179.00 I found a coupon on ebay for mine for $4.50 and got the solar kit for $149.00

I put down a layer of 1/4 inch luan subfloor (quality luan with a solid core-not MDF core) over the original tiles. following recommendations from people here on the board.

well, I got them all cut down, and got them all trimmed and placed, not sure what I am doing really, never messed with tiles, but I read you should cut and lay them all out first. ready to take them up, clean the floor again and glue them in place.
