Her name is Irene because that's the street that she came from.

Well, I figured I go ahead and post about mine, but fair warning, it's convoluted just like most of my explanations.
Many of you know that Sam and I are restoring a 1957 Westerner Deluxe, 15' overall length. When we got it, you could see the sunshine coming through under the back window and I kinda wondered if it would make it the 80 miles home. Well that little thing just towed like a charm, no problems at all. We got it home and parked on the road and started looking it over more, which is when it dawned on me just how small it really is.
During our discussion of what we were going to do to it I started calling it a little bitsy this or that. Which got shortened to Lil Bit, and that's what it's name was for months. But in typing my posts I got lazy and started just using the initials of L.B.
L.B. of course isn't a good name for a trailer. And she's way too cute not to be named. So L.B. morphed into Libby and there it is, my little bitsy trailer with the long way to her name. So we are restoring a 1957 Westerner Deluxe travel trailer from the ground up, replacing about 75% of the wood, 35 - 40% of the skin (which includes the roof), 100% of the upholstery because there wasn't anything there. But at least all the important original parts are there such as the interior lights, appliances, emblems, windows, doors (including the screen door), handles and grab handle and more I'm sure I'm forgetting. And to top it off she has a real name, and no matter how much my husband rolls his eyes, it will stay Libby.

So it's weird, but my trailer brand/model is called Golden falcon... so we call it "Golden Falcon". I know its not very original, but there are not many Golden Falcon's left.. guess we can call her "Goldie" for short.

The way you started this out I thought you were going to say something about it being a Golden Falcon, then go on about how you named it Goldie, and roll into some silly story about it kinda reminding you of Goldie Hawn. At least that's how my brains working tonight.

Well, this isn't quite a trailer name:
I recently sold my gold Z71 pick up to a good friend who names everything. (yeah, me too) Anyway, she asked, "what's her name".
The answer: HER name is Golden Boy. LOL

Ever since someone on here called my trailer a tank, my wife and I have taken to calling it "the tank"... haha.

When I purchased the trailer it was this god awful dull silver, nasty looking. Since I primarily use the trailer for hunting I changed the color to olive-drab, put up rip stop nylon camouflage curtains. Somehow through the years the camper became the "war-wagon". So I guess the name is War-Wagon, after being called that for so many years (30+) I don't think another name would fit. "The War-Wagon"

The story that must be behind that name leaves one shaking their heads and wondering if it was target practice, then how far off the mark did they get???

I can't see any evidence of target practice or any shotgun blast patterns but I will talk to the previous owner & builder and get the straight scoop. Danny

I talked to the previous owner at the drag races today and he told me the camper was used as a hunting trailer and if I looked close there a several small dents about the size of a BB. The camper was his granddad's and his grandmother was Betty ~ hence the name,it's appropriate. Danny

That's too funny, figured something like that had to be a back story. Thanks for sharing.

I guess I had never thought of naming my trailer, If something that I think is appropriate comes to mind I`ll throw it up here.

We have no rhyme or reason for naming our trailers...some have them some don't. Our first trailer was a 66 Airstream , when our then 4year old granddaughter saw it she said it looked like a silver armadillo which soon turned in to Silvadilla. Fast forward a few years and we found an old 54 Airstream that needed lots of work, while taking out the interior , in back of the kitchen counter a small ornate silver spoon fell out from some where. The wife was excited and said wow a silver spoon... which quickly morphed into Spoon, which to this day is her name.
