Does Marc Lucas, president of Shasta, KNOW about the shoddy units coming off the assembly line?? I would think somebody important at Shasta should care...

I'm heading to an RV show this weekend in Madison. The Shasta is going to be there. I'm sure it's going to draw a big crowd. I actually really liked it went it came out. Kitschy, but functional. Not everyone has time or knowledge or dedication to save an original but the love the feeling of the good Ole days. However, I'm sure that j-rail is going to drive me crazy. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures. Oh, and my BF called the dealer who will be showing it and he said he had 20 originally and only has 3 left. The interest is definitely out there.

Vehicle Dealer's have a saying "Buyer's are Liar's", but in my experience "Dealer's will always put a spin, on what they tell you".

Yes John I agree. Plus it makes no difference to me. I'll be interested in checking it out but that is where it ends.

Great photos, Macnmrs. Thanks for sharing. I just can't get over that crumpled edge and the dimples in the j-rail. That must be some really thin j-rail.

Sigh. There's so much not to like...
The edge trim/J rail is awful. I spend HOURS making sure my metal lays flat and trim is fit. Very curious why the skin is over wrapped so much with such skinny non functioning J rail..
Still think they are a viable option for newbies not wanting to restore.
Thank you SO MUCH Macnmrs! Priceless true photos.
