Welcome. Very cute trailer. We look forward to helping you.
NOTE: do not discard the trim (or anything else) until you are completely done with the trailer. Many times, it is not available to "replace", so you have to straighten it and re-use.

nice little camper. Save everything like vikx recommends. I like the size and look. Looks like fixing wall water damage in this model is something you will want to research because it looks like it needs different techniques than the normal remove skin like some of the campers I have deal with.
I would guess the counter top was replaced at some point and you may want to look at building a new one that matches the era. Before you paint really dig around and see if the previous owner painted over other issues.
Have fun and thanks for saving this little gem.

Welcome! your camper reminds me of many I saw in New Zealand I think they are actually based on a British design and we're manufactured in New Brunswick, maybe the same design was licensed elsewhere?

I think you’re right, I’ve seen similar campers in British movies

Thanks for the feedback, Just wondering what you are noticing about the build that may be different from other trailers? There is not much info about these trailers out there... I am pretty sure the back was not repaired properly... the newer roof panel is not flanged over the sides of the trailer... it's cut square to the trailers width and bolted along the top of the trailer... I think this is why it may be leaking. Any help is much appreciated, we are new to trailers! I think what is throwing me is I can't tell from the skin if it metal or bonded to the wall. Don't know enough about these campers but maybe it is like all others from that timeframe and is just a metal wrap but smooth finish. I am sure others know much more about these campers.

The walls could be "panels" lined with foam with filon (RV fiberglass) on the outside. If so, most leaks will occur at seams, windows and doors. One way to tell is that the windows are sandwiched in place; the outside portion is screwed into the inside portion. Sort of clamped in place.
These panels are difficult to repair but it does involve taking the trailer apart to find the current leaks. You might try and talk to other Cygnet owners on type of construction and what sort of damage they have encountered. Winnebago tried these panels on their class C motorhomes during the same era.

I'm noticing the patterned metal on the 2nd cygnet... I hope you are right and yours is wood framed. Go slowly and research a lot before beginning.
