Where is a place to buy twisty nails? The 7/8 short ones. I’ve found them at Ace in packs of 20 for $3. Just wondering if there was a place to get them cheaper in bulk.

Twisty nails in bulk? Found these in the barn where I'm working on my trailer. I'm guessing Dad bought them at a flooring supply house (where the installer buy stuff). They're used in the floor covering business to hold down metal transition strips and stair edge trim. We did floor covering for years. Whitney

I’ve had trouble finding them which is why I try to save them when I’m disassembling.

I’ve had trouble finding them which is why I try to save them when I’m disassembling. A dozen years ago, we couldn’t find them anywhere, so we dove into our salvage/junk pile and retrieved more tha 500 of them. Cleaned and re-used them all.

Looks like $3.00 for 20 is not a bad deal after all.

Twisty nails hold, for years. I know 'cause I had to pull many hundreds from Scotty. They can be a pain to install unless you missed a secret Larry shared with us on one of his builds back before his great new shop.. harbor freight's pneumatic palm nailer. I went out and got one right after and wow. Drill a little pilot hole and it pounds them in without risk of bending or hammer damage to surrounding skin or blackened finger nails when I miss take twisty nail for finger nail. And they are cheaper than any other alternative which is why bygone trailer factories used em. The driver head is cupped so the nails can't be driven through the skin too.

Well I never pulled a single "twisty" nail out of my trailer when I pulled it apart. Seems a lot of work to drill a hole for a nail. I will just stick with ring shank nails.
