The lower picture is when its cold. I added a few painted screws, but I think it just made it worse, it seems to make pressure points around them, I'm afraid that the aluminum will eventually crack. We live on the coast and I never even noticed an issue until we travel someplace hot. Unfortunately for me, I am anal and will need to try to make it better, even if it means that I have to repaint the entire side of the trailer. I guess I need to decide if I can live with more screws or if I want to tear it all apart hoping that it will be better when I am done. It's tough to get the skin warm enough, since it's cold here. Even in the shop with a heater, I am never going to be able to get it as hot as it gets when its 100 degrees out.

Hi guys, I've been trying to come up with the best approach to fix the saggy skin on my Lo-Liner. The trailer was disassembled and all the bad wood replaced and the droopy curb side wall fixed. The skin looks fine when it's cool, but when it gets some heat on it, the skin bows pretty bad. I'm sure that it won't be a fun job, I'm thinking I will need to get the skin as warm as I can and will probably have to dowl a bunch of screw holes because the new ones will be right next to the old ones. It still seems like it will be difficult to get tight enough. I think the skin was stretched when the old wall was bowed out, but of course it looked fine when I first installed it in the cold. If course, I put gutter deal on the seams before I painted it, so that should be great. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

The Hot August Nights Rally went well. The weather cooperated and the highs were in the 80's. They reduced the number of open houses to 2x four hour days. This year it was hosted by the Vintage Trailer Magazine folks. They now supply electricity until 9:00 PM! We actually liked the location, it was much better than a asphalt parking lot. It was only 2 miles to downtown. We walked a few times and ride the Honda Passports a couple of times. I talked to some of the people involved and it seemed like they really want to make it work, but if enrollment doesn't ride it might be cancelled. There was 24 hour security, the porta potties were serviced each day and there was a shower trailer available. I was impressed an the lengths that they went to. Entry was $100 and that included two passes that got us into multiple events for free. It made for a very inexpensive way to enjoy H.A.N. We did have a ton of visitors, we talked to do many people we began to lose our voices, but the spectator response was very good. We did not really participate in the rally events since we were so busy trying to see and do as much as possible. I hope to go again next year and see some of you there!

Crummy deal, many hours wasted and worthless threads now. I might pay a reasonable price, but not $400! Guess I'll have to try to update threads in my free time. Hopefully the other 3rd party hosting companies don't follow suit.

Exactly, variable valve timing, direct injection, etc has jumped power and mileage in recent years. A 2005 F-150 4.6 makes only 231 HP. A 2007 Dodge 4.7 makes 310 HP up from 235 in my '05. Quite a jump in just in 2 years. Still not very impressive compared to the Mustang V6's 305 HP 3.7. I think the new Dodge Ram 3.6 V6 is 300 HP and mid to high 20's MPG.

We use plastic dishes and glasses. I bought a bunch of fold out fabric boxes at Ikea, we put all the food and dishes inside of them. They keep stuff from moving around and rubbing on things Our cabinets just have the spring locks that hold them closed, but so far none have come open and we have towed on several hundred miles of rough and windy roads. I wrap breakables in towls and put them under the dinete benches before travel. so far, no problems leaving the globe on the light or the table up.

We have a '72, '78 and '82 Spider. We took the '82 on a 1300 mile HWY 1 road trip last October. They are fun.

Some of the new V6 engines are pretty impressive, putting out more power than V8's in years past, my 2017 Mustang V6, 3.7 has 300HP and 285 FTLB My 2005 Dodge Ram 4.7 V8 has 235hp and 290FTLB. The Dodge has the tow package and 6SP manual and still tows pretty good, legal speed on all but the steepest of hills.

That's a bummer, but at least everyone is OK. Their insurance should pay for a rental?
