Here in western Washington, it rains ten months of the year. We never see the sun, except for the past five days when it's been below freezing. At least the dog and chicken poop freezes. Makes it easier to clean up. Next week we're back to seasonal weather. Gray, wet, and 40 degrees. Until July 5. I was in Moses Lake (Larson Air Force Base) in 1961 and we could have used some of your coastal rain there the sand was so hot you couldn't walk on it without thick soled shoes. What a difference a few miles makes.

Cold cold cold- that's the forecast for the rest of the week. Ah, life in the midwest. I guess no matter how much we grumble, winter is here to stay. At least I will be getting a small reprive when I visit my sister in Phoenix this January. My national photography conference is there this year and I get to hang out with her, my fellow photog nerds and soak up the warm temps. All before returning back to the greater Cincy winter blahs... Maybe next winter we will hitch up the new (to us) Lowflyte and head to warmer pastures... SO looking forward to that!

Gingersnap I hope what we have seen so far is not a preview of the rest of the winter, if so it will be a long one.

Another toast... Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow! Drama drama. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpUYjpKg9KYWell, here we go again! Accumulation, Accumulation, Accumulation....DANG!! Went out this morning at 4AM and suprise! More snow. It's now 5:30 and there has already been 3" of snow this morning, about 1/2 as much as I shoveled off the barn roof from the last storm. Yesterday I spent 2 hours shoveling off the snow from the car hauler deck, melting all the chain pods and winch cable spool with a heat gun, so it would be ready for work. Now I get to start all over again. Sweeping off the camper, blowing off the cars, snowblowing the driveway, removing snow from the barn roof and car hauler. How is someone supposed to get anything done around here besides snow removal?! I've been the last 3 days finally getting it all out of the way. I had even started running the space heater inside the camper yesterday to start melting the 1" of ice on top. Well back to square one now, I guess I'll be spending the next day or two doing it all over again. I don't want to live here any more. Too much snow, not enough campers. Bill, it's going to be a long bad winter around here this year. I can already tell. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn8vzTsnPps(Rant Over LOL)

Soup the worst part is it isn't even winter yet. I went out and blew the snow off the front driveway and put down a little salt. I would rather have the snow than the freezing rain we had Sunday night that was a bear to walk on and of course was visiting my wife and parked at the far end of the parking lot, I don't ever remember walking on anything that slippery, about 1/4" of ice with misting rain falling on top of it. I just knew in my heart I was going to bust something but I made to the truck, thank god all I would need is to break something while she is laid up.

Yeah I know. Last year we were having 3 60 degree days a week through 1st of Feb. I didn't shut down trailer work here until 30 days in March 2013 due to weather. Worked all through except that month. I've already been stopped for a week now already. I can already tell, and what I've been saying all year. It's going to be bad this winter. Man you should wear some old golf shoes, metal spikes. I have been getting better with the snow removal. Today, I got it all done except the barn roof!

I dug out my ice fishing coil cleats and snapped them on a pair of shoes as soon as I got home Sunday night but all that means is I won't need them for a while then they will be where I'm not when I need them again. Story of my life.

Yes I understand that is the same way I feel in the summer when you talk about heat. I need to find a place that stays 70 to 80 year round. But then I would complain about spiders and snakes, maybe I am just hard to please.

It is a warm and balmy 12 degrees here at 11:15 AM. This heat wave is killing me. I may have to open the pool just to cool off.

They are predicting another 2-4" now for tonight's "WINTER WEAHWER ADWISOWY" (You wacky wabbits hehehehehehe ) Guess I'll go out and get last storms 3" off the barn today and make ready for the 4" tonight and tomorrow....... (mobile, here's to your good 70 degree and sunny weather all this week and next ) LOL We are starting to get hit twice a week now with 2-4" without any melting between storms! I'm starting to see storm layers on the roofs of outbuildings. Last year at this time I was working in the driveway with a T-shirt on.
