Hey Soup, on folding your metal over the sides, are you using one of those metal shrinker/stretcher thingies on your roofs or are you doing it the conventional bang it over with a mallot way like I have been doing?

I do it with a mallot and don't forget the wood block LOL. I thought your way was the only way! I got the wood block from your video!!

Soup Those loops are on there to help protect things in case of a tire blow out. They should be just below the bottom of the rim. Years ago they were highly recommended for the added safety in case of tire failure at speed. There were many different designs but these were considered one of the best as the rounded ends wouldn't catch on the road surface causing additional problems.

I didn't know that but I like them even more now!! 1st set of them I ever saw. Thanks Big Bill. They are serving double duty as jack stands now.

I can't wait to see what you do with this one...your certainly not wasting time, jumped right back in. Best of luck with the new project. I'm looking for one myself, wish I got that Barth off ebay a while back.

I'm looking for one myself, wish I got that Barth off ebay a while back. I wish you had gotten the Barth too! This LowFlyte was the one that rode on the deck of my truck from Evansville, IN a few months ago. While doing the pink/teal compact I just finished, I had run out of money and sold this one to a very nice couple not too far away. They left it here for me to repair roof, structure, exterior, and they will be doing interior. They are very excited to own it and I expect to be hearing from them on here soon. Building new VTT members, one camper at a time! We are completely in awe of your restoration talent, Soup! Thanks for taking our trailer project on. We've said it a couple of times already- you were the selling point when it came to buying this trailer. Thanks for offering your incredible know-how (while probably sacrificing your back, hands and every other aching body part). You have a gift. Love seeing the progress.
