Hi. Does anyone know what type of material this is used on the rock guard? This was on a 1968 Shasta 1500. It has a couple of tears and will need to be repaired or replaced. Also, there was a thread that someone started on the rock guard that they made. I can't seem to locate it. Anyone remember this thread? Thanks everyone!

Just go to a lumber yard/ home improvement center and they sell the panels there look for patio roofs the most recent post that I remember used a clear panel and I thought it looked fantastic. It wouldn't offer as much shade but on real sunny days you could throw a beach towel over if you wanted shade.

Could you post the dimensions of your rock guard? Ours is totally missing.

Could you post the dimensions of your rock guard? Ours is totally missing. Making a new rock guard would be easy. Finding all the hardware for the supports and retainers would be the hard part. Best to find a old donor and re-skin it.

Someone made an aluminum one with a really cool starburst pattern. I think that was in one of mobiltec's post if memory serves me correctly. It was really shiny and I wondered if it would reflect in the mirrors of the tow vehicle, but It was beautiful to look at.

I don't have the dimensions for this. I just measured the outside of the window set and went to work. This is Bob Ross' idea and the third one I have built with him.
