smccusk- great pic of the lantern. It may be "old school" boondocking, but we love to do that, down to working up a sweat pumping the water from the tank. Although I do admit to the power pump we use for the shower. (Lord, I sound like a glamper.)

Damn, that's a hell of good job, inside and out. The skin looks incredible, along with Tyler's green 'Dome, the best I've seen on here.

Cowcharge,
Thanks! It will be up your way soon...heading to NB in a few weeks. We'll likely end up in Bangor for a night on maybe Millinocket depending on how much time we have.

SMcusk I was able to get the lens for the tail light from a really nice guy who does them. His name is Lanny, and he sells them for 5.25 plus shipping or at least he did. Really sweet guy. "I carry the glass cylinders for the Bargman Trail Light assembly. They are made of slightly heavier laboratory quality glass tubing. I am out of stock on the rebuild kits but do have the glass. They are $5.25 plus shipping. lanny webbbro@gmail.com" Read more: vintageshasta.proboards.com/thread/406#ixzz2XiK4m8PUI emailed Lanny last night after reading this and he sent me a link to his new website: customvintagetrailerparts.com/CustomVintageTrailerParts.com/TrailLite.htmlHe said he can break up the complete restore kit however we need and to just let him know.

I’m heading out on the maiden voyage this coming weekend so at this point it’s a matter of tying up some loose ends. Today I finished off the handle light…originally my trailer didn’t have this feature. However, the Bargman handle was designed to easily add it…it was just a matter of running the wiring, (which I did during the construction phase), mounting a switch, and mounting a 12vlight socket the handle. Love the way the birch looks at night when the interior is illuminated…seems very warm.

Yours looks fabulous! Let the camping begin. I know what you went through, we finally took ours out for a 3500 mile trip to glacier national park in Montana. I am still trying to figure out how to post a picture of our total rebuild of our 64 Shasta Airflyte. It took me 11 months 10 days before it hit the road. We had people holding up written signs against their car window as we were driving down the freeway that said " We Love your vintage trailer" and another lady shouting at us " I Love your Shasta". At least 30 people commented about the trailer and a lady at the Samoa Cookhouse in Eureka, California recalling being a child and camping in one just like it. Great food by the way. Rallies here we come! Morro Bay strand and the Buellton rallies in Calif. We had a great trip and look forward to it again. m1309.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/64cozy1/IMG_9411_zps1a621bf1.jpg.html?o=1&newest=1

Znorm, It's funny seeing peoples reactions as you cruise down the freeway. It's like you're towing a rock star. I had a lot of people giving the thumbs up on the highway as well as taking pictures. In the campground and at home cars would slow down as they drove past to check it out. I had to field questions...mostly what year, then you hear a lot of stories how their parents or grandparent had a the same trailer. I suppose I have to get used to the attention.

Good morning Smccusk, We had alot of people think that is was brand new. I would tell them it is a complete rebuild and oringnal. Even though it has a few dents here and there. People would want to see the inside and I had one guy take pictures of our camper and burned us a disc while we were camping in Glacier. We saw a couple of trailers from Sister on the fly at Glacier. They were the only Vintage trailers that we saw on our trip. Enjoy. We look forward to being at the rallies in Morro Bay and Buellton coming up soon. Znorm
