Hey there! Our csmpers are relatives! Mine is S1539! I wonder how many were made in SC? Our 1967 Shasta Compact was made in South Carolina with a VIN of S1485.

Hello,
Thanks for all the great serial number information you provide here. I have an old Shasta that is about 21'6" or 22' overall, the license plate on it is first stamped 1963, However I've been told it is older than that, the serial # is C2856, Can you give me an idea what year it really is? I'm going to sell it and I'd like to be able to describe it fairly accurately. Again, thanks for your help.
Mark

Hello! My wife and I bought a Shasta a bunch of years ago, and everywhere we go, people ask us what year it is. I don't know anything about it, other than we love it. VIN# P18296 Thank you, Nemo PS As soon as I figure out how to get a pic from Flickr on here, I will... www.flickr.com/gp/152070593@N06/5D1357

junkman1963 Hey Brian, Based on the vin#, that Shasta Starflyte was produced in 1967. My guess is that it wasn't titled until 1969, provided that the vin# is on the title and yes, it should match. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ross
The Shasta does not have a title and I have talked to the last two owners they just have a bill of sale. I am in Virginia where it is hard to get a title. Went to the DMV with all my downloaded paperwork had them run the serial number and of course it does not exist in their system. They say S 4502 is too short. 85 bucks I can submit the paperwork and I may get a title.... trying to figure how how to send you a picture the camper looks like a 68 or 69 from research on the internet.
Thanks again for your help.
