Ross,
You're more than welcome for the VIN. Thank you for your help in helping us identify her.

Hi, I'm new here and somewhat new to vintage trailer restoration. I was recently given a vintage trailer of, I think, a mid 50s vintage. I think it is a Shasta, but I'm not sure. I found a VIN on the curbside top of the tongue-- SH 182 56. Can you give me any information with those numbers? I also noticed three seven-digit numbers stamped in the paint at the very end of the tongue by the ball mount. Do you know what those numbers might be? Thanks so much for any help you can give me!

Based on that vin# or the others that you found, none are related to Shasta's. Post a picture or two and maybe someone can identify what you have. Sorry that I couldn't help.

Hi Ross,
Since you offer, I will take you up on it. Am trying to figure out what I have. Not sure if photos will come through. Inside the tongue on a welded plate, it reads 27440. Elsewhere there is an S27440. There is also somewhere D3677, an M66 and then other stuff. Is that enough to go off of? Thanks. Dave Shasta Side 1.JPG Shasta Side 2.JPG Calif plate.JPG Shasta Mfg.JPG

When I try to post pics off of my harddrive, it asks for a URL. I might need some help on posting pics.

I'm not sure these images are going to work. Having trouble with the url, but should they come through, these are pics of the exterior and interior of my trailer.

Click on this link for the photo posting tutorial: vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/post/77/thread Photos aren't hosted for us on this free site - you have to host them somewhere else (Photobucket) and link to them.

Sweet looking camper! It is from the 50's, but not sure who manufactured it. Hopefully someone will jump in and help.
