Kitchen cabinet base is complete (minus drawers, finish and top). Ok semi complete. I’ll cover end pocket holes with a trim piece. On to the wardrobe cab. Face frames are birch, so when I finish, everything will be birch. Lots of extra effort on making curved cabinets, that just didn’t work out. Also as you can see no spot for the old stove. Have other plans for the cooking situation. Sink will go in the original spot, but moving the water tank to the back and putting electrical and lifepo4 battery/solar under the seat boxes. So it goes… IMG_2240 by asmay22, on Flickr

Always good to try and learn something new. I’ve tried my hand at using an open source cloud based CAD program called Onshape (still free), sketchup was bought out…anyhow. The roof radius is pretty close that was the most time consuming to get the measurements right. Kinda fun to help visualize the design. Finished one of kitchen uppers (not modeled in the picture), three more cabinets to go. Onward… IMG_6257 by asmay22, on Flickr

Under the undercut in front you will only want ONE piece of paneling for the radius and up to the undercut. Don't try to do that in two pieces. And on top in the rear you don't want a seam in the middle of a radius. You want most of the sharpest part of the radius to be one panel. Where you have a seam shown make that one panel. Most trailers have at least one panel that is only 18 inches to two feet wide and it's usually just forward or rearward of the vent. Mostly forward of it. That piece is there to use up scrap and to give you a place for an odd shape because of the fact that you start from both ends of the wrap and work towards the middle of the top. Then that last piece is that little one. Might be skewed a bit so you can use that piece to fill it all in nicely.

Thanks Larry - will do on the front. The wrap as depicted on the drawing is not where I’ll put the paneling. It was just at some radius measurements to get started with the drawing will update as I get closer to doing the wrap. Have to finish the cabinets though first.
Cheers!

applied finish on the cabinets on the kitchen side. 2 uppers go on either side of the window. The smaller cabinet was a bit tricky to frame, had to get thing on an 11 degree angle to meet the curve of the ceiling. fFxed center shelves like in the orginals. While I didnt do the curved bigger radius veneers, the curved routed edges give it that kind of feel. 6 coatts of home-made shellac, and the are ready to install. Onto the last 2 cabinets the tall fridge cabinet and the front over the dinette. Im pretty happy with the color it matches the walls pretty good. Just takes alot of time with multiple coats of shellac. Will take some time to do the wrap and the rest, but the result should look like the honeycomb hideout! IMG_2299 by asmay22, on Flickr
